HANG ON A PATTY FLIPPIN' SECOND

Yeah, the Amiibo card moving in process is too time and resource consuming.I don't know if Nintendo sees it as a way to promote crafting or as a way to get more DIY recipes......probably both. But three days?I'm old and impatient and I want my dang villager today, not two days later!I don't think that's too much to ask for.And by the way,if you're gonna post on this thread(or any thread),please take the time to read the original post.Lots of pertinent info there.

thank you my dude 😔 👊 appreciate the understanding

It's honestly probably just another way for Nintendo to force the crafting mechanisms into the game... if you think about it, almost everything in new horizons has something to do with crafting (or collecting crafting materials)....... but...... just....... I don't always want to craft 24/7 ;-; fact is i hardly craft anymore anyway unless it's actually something really good

Yeah,I think crafting should be reserved for things like the special event items and items you can decorate your island with.I don't get excited about crafting shovels and bug nets.

with all the crafting we've had to do for the last 2 holidays, it makes me wonder what they'll be like next year...

I like it, its like when the first 3 villagers moved in.

Kinda wish that was always the case. Would make moving in villagers that much more unique.

Perfect move in process in the future would be a hybridization of HHD and ACNH. Go out scouting for villagers or come back to the office for random applications. Pick one you like, have them sit down and they let you know what they are looking for, if you choose yes you get specific furniture to craft and place for them.

I feel your pain since I am the most impatient person and wouldn't be able to stand to do Amiibo move-ins without time traveling. (I once did like 9 move-ins in one marathon time traveling session.) However, on the plus side, I did get a lot of high quality recipes from villagers I invited to the camp site. I guess if a person already has all the good recipes, that wouldn't be much of a draw, but when you go to start your new island on the Switch Lite, you might find it helpful that some of them give good recipes, like the Ironwood Dresser.

I've done a couple resets and it was frustrating to go back to having no decent recipes for awhile.
