I know a lot of you are picky about who lives in their town, but is anyone else picky about their main street villagers? I've been moving specific villagers out solely to populate my main street. I have a lot of favorite villagers, so having 16 more of my faves in my main street is how I cope with only being able to have 10 in my town.
It's taking a seriously long time to fill up all 16 main street slots, but its so worth it to have a main street populated with all my faves. I just moved in my 13th villager to move out for my main street.
Currently, my main street has Ankha, Lolly, Fauna, Skye, Tia, Tangy, Erik, Vesta, Lucky, Molly, Papi, Zucker, and soon Diana.
This is actually a clever idea. I'm sure there are others out there who are a little more selective than the majority but I had personally never bothered about who was wandering about my main street until I read your thought process. Now I don't feel so bad about letting some villagers go that I was fond of, they're still technically here. I don't think I'd ever put as much effort in as you do though... I don't even cycle my villagers to get favourites back, I just let things take their course. I already have way too much on my plate with this game lol.
I definitely mean it when I say it takes a long long time, haha.
It can be a little nerve wracking too, an accidental move-in could ruin all my efforts since I would have to cycle another 16 just to get the unwanted villager out of my main street. If that happened I would probably get over it and continue, though. Not worth doing it all over again. I've had my streetpass off for over year and I haven't wifi'd with anyone since I began this endeavor.
I think it would be a thousand times easier if I used amiibos to move villagers in/out. but I don't feel like spending money on cards for this because even I can admit it's a little silly. (but worth)
I would never have the patience to do something like that. I don't really care whose on my main street as long as they aren't in my town. (Unless I liked them and they moved, then I don't mind them being there haha)
I wish I would have taken the time to cycle ugly villagers out of main street before I got all my dreamies so now it's too late; I'm trying to force myself to like them. It's kind of a reminder of how far my town has come, thinking of that helps.
I probably wouldn't need to intentionally do this in my main town because I used to cycle a lot (move in and out) since I get tired of my villagers easily. I did it like 43-44 times and most of them are Tier 1 and 2 villagers. Eh but in the end, I really don't mind even if they're all ugly.
