anyone a lil disappointed by the hairstyles in NH? I think the wigs and hair styles options were better in NL. I hope that nintendo puts something like this future updates (cred: u/jcling on reddit)

I think that the current styles are great, but yes, it would be nice to include the different hair types! As someone who can't have their actual hair type in game as well, I agree that nintendo should add more. They probably will because it's been confirmed that they'll keep updating the game for another 3 years or so

more afro/textured options would be so cool! I was so excited when I saw them in the trailers but then was a little disappointed that those were all we got :T and they're both masculine hairstyles too...

also, more feminine short hair options! I have a pixie cut IRL and while I can make do with one of the male haircuts (lbr, even if anyone can wear any hairstyle, they're SUPER gendered lol), I'd kill to get the pixie cuts from Pocket Camp

I'm happy with the current hairstyles, but I'd certainly appreciate some more variety. I find the 'male' hairstyles are unfortunately quite masculine, and the 'female' hairstyles are quite feminine, and as a guy with longer hair, it would be great if some of the longer hairstyles were a bit more androgynous (or masculine).

I so agree! More curly/textured hairstyles, an actual pixie cut (can’t believe they don’t have one!) more masculine long hair styles—there are so many styles they could add. I have a pixie cut myself and was a little disappointed to not find one in the game, especially when Pocket Camp had them.

yeah i cant have my actual hair type in the game either. the only afro/curly hair type thats gender neutral are dreads

Some of the older hair styles are missing too like the tri ponytail, and the pony tail with bangs to name a few...if I had to guess, they’ll add more as now, it’s very limited, makes me wonder if they’ll bring back Harriet to bring back styles

edit: Forgot to mention Another thing is that we’re missing some natural/Unnatural hair colors as well

Maybe Nintendo could adopt 'The Sims' way of doing hair? Modding in that game is really easy, so you could get cool hairstyles off the internet. You can also choose any hair color you want from a hex color picker! I know Nintendo would never do that. More likely they would push out hairstyles/colors in free DLC.

I was really hoping for more hairstyles honestly. And I ended up liking a lot less of them than I thought I would? Like I literally like two of them and I thought I would like a ton of them. A lot of them look kind of weirdly shaped too.
But I do have a lot of hope that they will eventually release more hairstyles. It's pretty easy for them to keep adding them in, as they can just shove them into the kiosk for us to buy with tickets.
Although, I do totally miss Shampoodle. It was fun to go get your hair did. That wouldn't really add up with our new constant-versatility though and I like that much better.

These are utterly adorable! My friend would be #6 or #8, I'd be #7, and my bf would be #15. I adore #1, #9, #13, and #14 though!

I think the key to making longer hair look less feminine and more masculine is the hairline. As you can see in these illustrations, male hairlines dip back on the sides more, making the hairline more squarish.

Not only do I seek more hairstyles, I also want the other haircolors back. I feel incomplete without bright green hair.
