Hair problems

I like having short hair because mine is wavy/curly but it doesn't keep the curls if it's too long and ends up being frizzy instead... The only problem with short hair is that it grows back too quickly

I know the pain. My hair is really thick and naturally wavy and it gets frizzy REALLY easily. A few drops of rain and it poofs like a poodle's fur. It sucks. I've gotten it cut to my chin and its much easier to manage now. My problem is still about how fragile it is with humidity. :/

I have the opposite of most people on this thread, my hair is very thin and straight. I can go a few weeks without getting any noticeable snarls, but it still ends up horrible anyway since I pretty much don't brush it... ever. (I wash it though. If I didn't wash it along with not brushing it, it would make a good home for some insects or maybe a rat or two.)

Well random but if you have tangled hair, I heard of this product from watching YouTube vlogs lol
It's called " its a 10 miracle leave in". Dunno might be worth it too search it up.

I use this stuff every day and it has changed my hair completely. This stuff seriously works wonders. Just put some in your hair either after you wash your hair and blow dry or let it air dry, or you can spray it on before using tools with heat (flat iron, curling iron, etc)
It's kinda pricy, but it does so much for your hair, it's so worth it

I don't really brush my hair with brushes, as that causes me to lose a lot of hair, I have very curly and textured hair so it's been a nightmare for me for most of my life, but I've got it under control these days for the most part. I comb through it with my fingers often and use oils and detanglers and things like that, and I don't wash it everyday like stated. It really depends on what kind of hair you have though. I always get frustrated because my hair is super heavyand thick, so in the summer I suffer but I put it up in buns to get it out of my way because I know if I cut it I will regret it!

Cut it, I really doubt applying oils will help. Even 1-2inches. When I had long down to my butt I refused to cut it and it eventually got so frustrating I cut it to chest length. My hair grows really quick and I get a cut once a month. Wash your hair every 2-3 days and use a good conditioner

HOLY **** I USE THAT TOO
It really helps the really bad cowlick at the back of my head :D

i honestly dont care much about my hair anymore considering the way it's cut makes everything difficult, my hair never looks the way i want it to..but im trying to grow it out so id rather not do anything to it an issue i have though is ive been growing out my bangs since last year, so a majority of my hair is at a medium length while the parts that have been cut for my bangs are just above my chin..it's not long enough for me to style it yet, so basically it looks really weird considering i have long, thick hair then its just random short hair framing or wrapping around my face .-. i hope this makes sense haha..but this just happens on random days. if im blessed, there will actually be days when it looks good

Well in January I offered my hair to my friend. She was going for her journeyman in hair, and she needed a model. I was rocking a short inverted bob for a few months. Now it's at this awkward growth/length, where I am simply waiting for my layers to grow out - that way I don't have to cut any length off of it.

Other than the awkward length my layers at currently at, I have a huge problem with humidity and curling/frizzy hair. As soon as I step outside my hair decides to turn into a curly wavy frizzy mess. I also have two cowlicks which make a side bang very difficult to deal with.

if you're swimming in a pool with chlorine (or however you spell it haha) you should probably put in some shampoo and/or detangler before you swim, and afterwards you should shower and wash your hair out. and idk for some people washing your hair everyday can improve it but i've also heard that washing everyday can be really bad too. i guess it all depends on what type of hair you have! :P

My hair is so freaking thin that anything can tangle it. Whether it be the wind, or me just sitting around the house. Oh and not to mention any type of product that isn't conditioner and shampoo makes my hair greasy. -.-

I'd definitely say braid your hair when you're going to go swimming if your hair is long enough, or put it up in a bun. What I do is I flip my hair over, gather it into a ponytail and then twist it and wrap it around itself until i think it looks good. Secure it and pin back any fly away's and you're good. :3

I'm struggling with the length of my hair right now. I love doing fun hairstyles and learning new things to do with it, even if I've never been very good at it. But right when I started getting the hang of things, I thought to myself that it would be a good idea to chop ten inches of it off *facepalms* That was in February and I still can't braid my hair. And because I like to keep my hair up and out of my face, I've been stuck wearing a topknot for ages. I like buns and all, but sometimes I just get the need to whip my hair back and forth, you know? I can manage it with a braid but with a bun it's impossible.

I have really thick, curly hair, and a product line that's really helped me out is DevaCurl. Seriously, their shampoo and conditioner is so good for your hair, and their hairspray smells like lavender and has the perfect amount of hold without making my hair too crunchy. I also love using Biosilk in my hair everyday, I typically use it when I'm straightening my hair to make it smooth and easier to keep straight, but it also helps every day to keep it from getting frizzy.

My hair gets greasy very quickly. I'll shower one day and then it get gross by the time I wake up in the morning. I'm actually trying to think of a haircut that'd suit my face best but I keep getting mixed answers. *sigh*

i have really long hair, too.

i saw that you said you dont wash it every day, which is really fine. most people with long hair who say they do are usually lying lol

i would say wash it every other day or every three days. just dont let it look/feel oily.
you probably dont want to hear this, but tie your hair. i used to hate it, and its super painful for me but you have to just make do. i suggest high side ponytails, those are my fave. it honestly depends on ur face shape + features tho (if you care)

for the combing issue:
use a brush, not a comb.
brush from the bottom and move to the top, its way easier.
separate your hair into sections

tangles:
maybe use conditioner more than you currently do
find anti-tangle shampoo (it exists)
tie your hair, it really does lessen the tangles

drying your hair:
if you let it dry naturally, use a t-shirt or something. that will reduce frizz.
if you use a blow drier, find some anti-frizz sprays and anti-burn sprays.
try to avoid brushing your hair when it's TOO wet, just so u know!!

cant rly help you with the swimming issue since i tend to avoid water/swimming. gl

(psst. tying your hair up higher and out of your face when you have long hair is always easier)

PLZ DO NOT GIVE UP DO NOT CUT UR HAIR
im considering getting a pixie cut again because i look cute in it but then when i think of how long it took me to grow my hair...yeah

i would recommend for you to find some shampoos that are made to decrease oil/grease more than others O:
