Thanks guys. I went to see him again today. He's still pissed he can't do much. But I'm still amazed he's not that hurt. He wants his laptop, but his parents won't let him have it back yet until he heals.

The car that hit him was in a residential area, why wasn't it paying attention? Isn't there a sign that says children playing?

In my street, just around the block is a row of duplexes full of drug dealers. They always speed up and down the street, especially at night. They never go slow. And you can't just jump out of the way of a car like that.

Cause we can't prove anything, and we don't have the money to move. We rarely get anything wrong, we just don't go out after late. I've lived here for 12 years, and I don't think I plan on moving until college. There have been drug busts around the corner. Nothing wrong with our street, but just around our corner...

The police probably know. It's just difficult to track down every single drug dealer and maybe it's not that high of a priority.
