kayso.

My computer's main partion has dropped in the ammount of space it had.

I had windows xp + ubuntu and upgraded to windows 7.

I checked out the hard drive, and it went from ___ of 187 gb to ___ of 120 gb

Part of my partition is missing D;

I checked the partition manager and there was no unallocated space.

The only thing that might be the problem is ubuntu, seeing as I barely deleted it, I installed windows 7 and tryed to unistall ubuntu since I had no uses, the unistaller didn't work so I just deleted it :L

I reinstalled then unistall and I'm still missing like 60gigs of space.

Did windows 7 hide it from me for restoration use or something?

Yeah. There is something called System Restore that uses a big chunk of space. About 50-60. It's a Windows Vista/7 feature. If you look online on how to disable it, you should get your space back. I disabled System Restore a while back and went from about 50 GB to 111 GB.

This may be an awful bump, but when I had system restore on vista it just took up space from the hard drive not totally hide a portion of my partition.

On vista it checked out as like 180 gb now it's like 120 gb of possible space.

I might try it later though, I questioned if that were the problem but I really just overlooked it.

It's incredibly handy, though :c

I really wouldn't disable as much as to make sure my partition didn't brake during the ubuntu mis-uninstillation.

I still don't even know what it does. I just checked to see if it was safe or not.
