do villagers still guilt trip you if you haven’t played for a week/month etc.? thats part of the reason why I don’t TT, because it always made me feel really bad, and if I haven’t played for weeks for example I dreaded opening up the game again because everyone would complain about how I was gone.
Hmm...I only did one big time jump once...and I think I remember a "hey long time no see glad to see you" sort of exchange but nothing guilt-like for the one time. Can't say overall though.
It'll be interesting to see what some more serious TTers will report.
kind of, the first time you talk to them they'll be like "where have you been i haven't seen you in x months!!" but depending on personality they will have different followups like "I bet you were reading a really good book!" or "I tried to visit you but you weren't there", etc.
as others have mentioned when you talk to them that's the first thing they say but then they stop it, it's also not really guilt tripping they just wonder where you went or say they missed you
Goldie has also written me some letters where she gave me 'hints' that she wants to be talked to lol
idk if that was bc of tting or bc I don't talk to her that much in general though
I actually don't remember what this was like in previous games, so I can't compare, but as someone who was cycling pretty regularly until a few days ago, they DO mention it. Every villager will say something but not necessarily in a guilt-trippy way. The dialogue has been so sanitized at this point that I would be a bit surprised to find that anyone was upset by it
When I TT and talk to my villagers theyre mainly like "I haven't seen you in a while" "Were you mad at me?" and "I stood outside your house for an entire day and only left to go to the bathroom" LOL
Idk I think the snooties do kinda guilt trip you? Ive had diana and judy say something along the lines of "done giving me the silent treatment? Its been 8 MONTHS"
Someone made a video of them jumping 10 years into the future, and a few of them made the guy feel bad. But how else would anybody react to someone that's been gone for so long? I don't think it's so much that they're guilt tripping you as it is that they really missed you.
They do (sort of, I think of it more as just that they genuinely missed you and not that they mean to guilt-trip), but if you just don't talk to them while TTing and then jump back to the regular date they'll act like everything is the same and you were never gone. So you could TT a month into the future day by day without talking to any villagers if you wanted and when you're done, just go back to May 6th (or whatever day it is haha) and you'll be fine.
