I see this alot: "I'm running low on bells, I need help!" And stuff of the sort, so I decided to make a guide dedicated to all those people!
Note: I gathered this information from my personal experiences and from several blogs, which I will credit at the end.
So, without further ado, let's begin!
Method 1: Island
This is probably the most common method, but it is probably the most useful- You can score up to 500k bells per trip.
But there are a few tips you need to follow.
Scare off ALL fish WITHOUT fins. You want to try to catch sharks.
Scare off ALL common bugs, and bugs that are worth LESS than 10k, maybe even 50k.
Now that you know what to catch and what not to catch, you have to know what to do to attract the most bells- erm, I mean bugs.
Get rid of ALL the flowers and bushes.
Cut down the trees on the bottom side of the island, and dig out the stumps to avoid attracting cheap bugs.

Now you want to know how to catch them!
Well, make sure you get DIRECTLY infront of the tree to make sure you dont scare the bug off.
