O_O I don't see how you could've possibly reset both, your brain must've been in a "moosh" state. And yes, I have done something stupid. I was plot resetting once and traveled to the wrong time/date. Luckily the villager didn't pick too bad of a spot to settle down on.
My brain is always in a moosh state lol
I don't know to be honest,I don't look at the name and stuff. I just load and play, I am just really dumb lol

I've done this too! But I don't feel like doing the 16 cycle to reset the plot so whatever. I'll deal with it.
I thought one I reset was already in my 3ds, not the other one.
So I reset my other one *cries*
I didn't like my cycle town so I was resetting, and I reset the wrong one!

I thought I had it bad when my game crashed (game turned off by itself. The menu wouldn't show ANCL icon; showed plain white instead) I panicked for 5 minutes but luckily, it fixed itself after ejecting the game and restarting my 3DS.

I was once time travelling to try and grow blue roses to put around Rocco's house, I was being really cautious of any villagers moving... before I knew it he was packed in boxes, he was one of my originals. I was so pissed, I started rapidly time travelling and got rid of another one of my dreamies Mint.
Eventually I stopped and thought about it, and worked out a way to get Rocco back. I had to be really cautious and I asked a friend if she could make room in her town for him to move in so I could do the 16 villager process. I was lucky enough that he did move to her town, but unfortunately I still lost Mint.
On the bright side, I got the very same Rocco back in my town and one of my other villagers Cyrano who had moved out months before, I was beginning to miss him a bit so I wanted to have him back in my town.
I am extra careful now about time travelling, I did end up getting blue roses so I no longer need to go around time travelling.

I've done something similar. Once, after I finished plot resetting, I accidentally deleted my town. I was trying to delete the alt. character, but since I was multi-tasking I ended up clicking on my Mayor and I reset my town.
omg, I would be devastated if that happened to me! Glad everything worked out well in the end for you, though!
I should probably stop TTing. I don't want to lose my dreamies. Idk how you can "carefully" time travel. How? O_O

You have to go around the village and check for villagers that "ping" you, the villager that is moving is always outside... unless asleep of course. Sometimes they will not ping you, even if they are wanting to move, so you need to try a few times, also talking to other villagers to find out if anyone is moving helps.
Only problem was no one told me and he never pinged me, sneaky little bugger.

T__T Yeah, having different cartridges is so tricky. I mix them up a lot also though so far I've been lucky and havent deleted anything important.

That sucks omg ; o ; I've never accidentally deleted any of my towns, but I've regretted a lot of planned resets.
