Growing perfect fruit trees

Hey guys, I've got a question concerning perfect fruit.
I know that perfect fruit obtained in a different town, not my own, will not grow a perfect fruit tree.
So, my question is: how do I get some perfect fruit now? I mean, does it randomly appear on a plain tree?
I recall having perfect fruit on the very first day of playing, but, not knowing I should burry them, I sold them.
Anyone has any tips?

They can appear randomly, although they're very rare. However you CAN grow perfect fruit from other towns as long as it's your native fruit! Only non-native perfect fruits won't grow into perfect fruit trees.

At random a tree with normal native fruit will have 1 perfect fruit on them, make sure to harvest your normal trees often.

Instead of waiting around vigorously shaking your native fruit trees hoping to see a perfect fruit one day. Maybe try and see if someone who has perfect fruit of that particular kind will spare one so you can start growing them

They show up on your own trees, I can confirm that! They've showed up on mine. It's very rare, but it's happened a few times now, so make sure you keep harvesting everything so you'll get better chances of finding one.
