I decided to fulfill my wish of creating an ancient town, but as far as I know, the series of posts from the previous entries hasn't been added yet.
What are the chances of at least some of them being added, if they aren't in the game already?

I'd greatly appreciate some tips and inspiration for my project as well, since I feel a bit limited by all the Asian-themed items available and having to wait for the zodiac furniture, as I don't want to time travel.

I feel it. I'm waiting for the posts and more ancient-looking pieces to be reintroduced as well. I'm thinking Nintendo will introduce more items into the game as time goes on, through updates. Like how some items aren't available until you upgrade Nook's Cranny, I'm sure in future updates as the stores are allowed to be upgraded again that more items will be added.

For now, I would just try to visit an island with Celeste every day and collect the zodiac furniture DIYS. You can only get one per day from Celeste anyways, so making that a goal would be a start if you have the time and wifi.

Good luck! We'll be waiting together. : )

Count me in as waiting for posts, was sad to realise they weren’t in (yet?). Idk how hopeful to be that they’ll be added until we know content releases don’t just contain holiday/event themed stuff.

You’re right that you may be limited on thematically correct items but I reckon there’s plenty you can repurpose to suit a more general ancient civ theme. Stone/terracotta paving, stone fencing/furniture, wells and furnaces/simple fire pits, gold dishes, candles, pots/pitchers, the stone lion dog, and some simpler wooden items customised to darker colours look similarly old civilisation-ish. The new transparent patterns would be good for making floor mosaics. Stalls and signs would still work for an ancient market place. As intermediary decorations around town there are some fossils which pass as artistic or precious resource decor (ammonite, shark tooth pattern, amber) and some as plainish decorative rocks (myllokunmingia...? I think) The garden rocks diy collection can also be customised mossy I believe for a more ancient feel.

I understand the struggle as someone who wanted to make a ruins area in my town, the items feel lacking unfortunately. I coped with mostly stone and getting creative with customising items to more ancient and simplistic designs. Good luck!
