GREAT idea for the next version of Animal Crossing

When my villagers come to visit -- they make comments about wanting to live in my house.

Today after hearing one of those comments the "lightbulb" went off in my head.

The villagers can temporarily move in with you while their home is being renovated.

There could be so many different scenarios with the different villager personalities.

Apollo would be a grouch in the morning.
Rory would wake you up to exercise
Fauna would always be polite and make your breakfast
Bob would be complaing about being hungry and you would have to cook for him.
Baabara would have to be pampered

I am going to send a letter to Nintendo with this idea.

What do you all think about having a villager as a roommate?

I like it! Maybe it could work like the camp site does, but instead of staying at the camp they stay with you? and stay for a little while longer perhaps?

Not for me. After working hard in the village I need alone time. None of mine are roommate material.

Haha, I'd LOVE this feature! But maybe it could be optional, like, for example, while their home is being renovated, they walk around near their site and you can offer to let them stay at your place because they're panicking about not having a place to stay.

You'd also need basic furniture, like a bed, dresser, table, chairs, etc. And they'd complain about being bored and stuff if you didn't have a TV or anything entertaining.

It'd be awesome if their house took more than a day, though. I laugh whenever I'm playing and at 6 AM a house goes from fenced-off area to awesome structure. Their house could take about a week, and they'd stay with you for the whole week? Each day, their house could get bigger and bigger each day until the last day, and then they tell you thanks and leave.

It'd also be funny if they randomly rearranged your furniture and stuff while you were gone, and possibly added some of their own stuff temporarily?

OMG, Nintendo, please add this. I'd LOVE this. Now whenever someone I like moves in, I'm gonna get sad until they add this.

(Perhaps you should send Nintendo some of the reviews, so they'll see that a lot of people would like this? It'd obviously need to be optional, though, since not everybody likes their villagers. XD)

Oh, and for the "Hey, can I stay at your place?" thing, maybe the first time they see you they immediatedly ping and say something like:

"Hey, uh... This might sound really awkward, but... I don't really have a place to stay! I know we just met, but could I maybe stay at your place until my house is ready?" and then you could say yes or no.

I REALLY WANT THIS! NINTENDO, PWEASEEEEEEEE!

(Btw, what's Nintendo's email/contact info? I might try to get all my friends to email them and say that we support this. XD)

I had a similar idea! Like if your town is full, depending on how many rooms you have, you can choose to house several animals and they pay rent! They also have their own schedules, like they're outside most of the day, but hang around at night. This way, if your town is full, you can hold onto a beloved villager as long as you want. PLUS, you're essentially a landlord!

I had a similar idea! Like if your town is full, depending on how many rooms you have, you can choose to house several animals and they pay rent! Ooh! Adding to this, you could also randomly get letters when your town is full and they'd say "Hey, I can't find a decent place to put my home... But my friend, ____, told me that you have a really large house! I know we haven't met, but can I maybe be your roommate/roomie (depending on personality)?" Then there could be a yes/no option at the bottom of the letter, and as soon as you choose an option, you can take it to the post office and mail it back.

Then if you said yes, a few days later, one of your rooms that you'd have to empty out will have boxes in it, and the villager will unpack their bedroom stuff, and then they could start living with you. The first time you talk to them, you could arrange a price (if it was extremely high, they'd be like "What!? No way! I can't afford that!") or you could let them stay for free, and then the next day, their stuff would be unpacked, and they'd start randomly walking around your house, and you could find them asleep in their room at night. You could also be a jerk and wake them up, which would make them mad.

They could eventually move out, and there could always be an option to force them out. They could also randomly pull pranks on you, like drawing on your face while you're asleep and stuff if they're a Jock. Normal villagers would be really nice and would occasionally wake you up really nicely and stuff. And peppy villagers could randomly rearrange all your furniture for their "photo shoots" and put the furniture back the next day.

OMG, I love this idea. Nintendo please please PLEASE add this! PLEAAAAASE!

More than 4 people would also be awesome. XD I wanna host a party, but I can't just have 3 people attend plus my villagers. I want, like, at least 10 people. That would be cool. And tanners. X.X I was a little surprised they haven't put a tanner in Shampoodle yet. Or at least Able Sisters.

Another thing:

What if villagers who you're best friends with would ask to move into your home? They'd say something like:

"You know, ___, we have a lot in common... And besides, _____ (see blank space answers). So, uh... Would you mind if I moved in with you? I promise I won't get in the way!"

Blank space answers:

Lazy villagers: I'm not very good at cleaning, and you are. But I'm a better cook, so that makes up for it, right?
Jock villagers: my house isn't really as good for working out as yours.
Normal villagers: I don't really like the view from my house... But yours is awesome!
Cranky & Snooty villagers: ____(villager that lives nearby) is making too much of a ruckus for my taste.
Uchi villagers: we're like sisters/brother and sisters!
Smug villagers: you have a really nice house, definitely worth bragging about. (This could be improved, but I don't know much about Smugs.)

I think that's all the personalities. Lemme know if I missed one!

I want an ice cream shack in summer, where you could order ice cream and lick it down in the hit summer sun.

Snooty villagers could keep adding in new furniture, saying they 'don't mean to be rude, but the furniture does not look good'

Uhh and your favourite villagers could say 'We're such good friends. But we could get even closer by, I dunno, sharing a house for a week or two?'

I was also thinking after the villager leaves your home ----they will send you an exclusive and awesome piece of furniture that is only available to Mayors who open their houses to guests.
