It's possible for Redd to have more than one authentic painting? I've never had that happen to me but that doesn't sound too great then haha. Maybe do one alt character in a spot that won't ruin anything, buy the painting with them and drop it off, then delete and do the same so that only one spot of town takes the hit?

It is possible! Ive had 2 and 3 of his paintings be real before. I cant honestly remember if all 4 have been or not.
That does sound like a good idea! Ill probably do that. Just put one char in a spot where i dont want a villager popping up

I don't actually think you get more than one authentic painting, but that's just what i've heard!

Sorry, but you heard wrong. I've seen two several times but that's the most for me personally.

Doing it that way misses out on one of the paintings because krystillin said three of them were authentic, each player character can only purchase one piece of artwork from Redd per day, and they don't go into your inventory immediately. They're mailed to you.

That said, assuming OP doesn't use time travel and/or didn't have someone else come over and purchase it for them, my post is pretty moot now since it's now the next day.

I made two extra charatures, bought all three paintings, time traveled because i time travel alllll the time. Got them, donated. Kept one alt character, called it good

Yeah you can get more than one legit painting, or all fake and/or one genuine that is never fake etc.

But yeah I feel ya, I don't like doing alts so I'm just.. heck I'm buying one and movin on I guess.
