Why is it that when Gracie Grace is having a sale most of the items are sold out and there are only like two or three things that you are able to buy and those aren't even discounted half of the time? Also, does anyone know why everything is so expensive there? She wants you too pay 220k to 300k bells for tables, closets, and storage units and it is ridiculous.Even the wallpaper and flooring is over 100k bells.I think I spent over 1 million bells buying things from the sweets collection. The only things that are cheap there are accessories and clothing.Everything else is ridiculously overpriced and I really want to know why.

I think since her items change only once per season, the idea is to save up for the special items. You essentially get almost 3 months to save up for the new season. It's challenging, but totally doable with the new island bugs. The sales add a bit of realism to the process. Just like shopping in real life, you can save money if you wait for the items to go on sale. But if you wait, the selection isn't as good and they might sell out of what you want.

I'm not sure how the card series fits into all of this - just to keep your interest alive in the off season perhaps?

But over 200k bells for a table and a closet? Seriously?
That's ridiculous.

The sale price are high at the beginning and get lower towards the end of the month.
If you TT a lot in your town none of the old items can be for sale.
I noticed that my shop has a lot of items for sale in my main town. I've already purchased them the first time. So visitors were able to save a lot of bells.

Checking with friend for a item during the sale can save you bells. A lot of friends post what they have during sell week.
Think the prices are high because bells are easy to make. I had two houses paid off before Gracie opened. So I had a lot of bells saved up.

Main town? Can't you only have one town?
Bells are hard for me too make unless I go to the island and catch a lot of the beetles.
And paying off my entire house would cause me to go broke unless I had several millions of bells saved up.

I have more than one ACNL game. The town that was just a harvest town and TT a lot got Gracie first.
I noticed that on the first day of the sale none of the sweet items were there. Read that TTing to different times and back would give you no sales.

All my bells came from the island when I first started out. Left the town on bell bloom for the first month and than changed it to beautiful.

Gracie Grace is very high fashion when it comes to acnl , i see your frustration xD . I literally bought the princess set over 1.5m ;w; but its worth it i guess since i finally achieved something expensive , but like everyone else says , its seasonal . you got 3 months to get the full series , but i prefer to get it on here since its way cheaper xD

it's supposed to be high fashion and hard to obtain, up scale. i guess a real world example would be like chanel or louis vuitton (i realize it's a game, but the principle still stands). it is pretty annoying, but that's just how it is. at least, as sosu said, you have a decently long amount of time to save up for what you want.
