Ugh! I'm sossosososo sorry that happened to you as well! It was really disappointing, especially since it was the first time Gracie had ever visited my town.

I'm sure that it's impossible to get a piece of furniture from her. I know I got a cow tank and a coral shirt from her, and two other shirts that I can't remember what their name was. Unless you've got another region copy, but I doubt that it would make any difference.

You can get furniture from her. I got two pieces from the Sweets series - sweets player and sweets sofa and a Gracie lamp. I have the in-game pics to prove it, especially since I JUST got the sweets player from her yesterday. I got them from have either having most (4/5) or all pieces of the outfit to go with the announced theme. Only 1 time I got a shirt, and that was because I only had 3/5 pieces of the assigned them.

When you pass, she'll stay there, though not sure for how long since I don't generally head back to the plaza after passing the check.
