Gracie Fashion Checks

So, my mom and I have been trying to unlock the T&T Emporium. I've been able to run into gracie a few times, but she hasnt seen her at all. She checks every day, so its not that shes just doesnt know shes there.

Is there some special way to unlock her? or to get her to come? I know she appears on a random monday-saturday.

Also, would it work if she came to do her fashion checks in my town?

I don't believe she can do fashion checks in another person's town... If I recall correctly, that is.

Have at least 70,000 bells been spent in the T.I.Y.? I think that's only when she shows up. (Anyone, correct me if I'm wrong.)

Yeah, she's spent more than 70k. Though, i had a thought. Is it 70k from the time you upgraded? or 70k total from since you started the game?

I usually just buy everything everyday if I can because I never know when I am going to want to re-order the items so I had no problem getting her to show up. I'm only one visit away from getting it! Woo-hoo!
