Ever since I got my first AC game on christmas 2013. I haven't shut up about AC and my dad was curious about it. So I showed him my town one time and from then on he wanted it. The only problem is that he only had one of those old DSes from 2006 or so. So as a late fathers day gift I'm getting him a 2DS and ACNL. He also wanted it as a way to get in touch with me when he's on a business trip or something like that. Do any of your relatives or parents play AC? :o

well, not a relative, but, my friend plays it, and we thought we would never meet :D

My mom and dad both played the GameCube Animal crossing.
My mom now plays New Leaf. She has a house in one of my towns.
My dad can't play now :( he passed of cancer in 2010.

Omg that is awesome. I've always wanted to get my aunt to play since she always played the old DS (shes the one that bought me my first one) But she never got into animal crossing... She only plays gostop T.T

my older brother plays it.
he's always asking me for stuff from the
forums (villagers ect.) but refuses to join

Nope. My parents hate the idea of me playing games in general. It seems like a great way to bond with your dad! :) You can help each other out and play mini games with each other ono

That's sweet of you. I'm pretty sure my older brother plays AC:NL. Only occasionally though, cause he's in uni.

I'm getting my little brother ACNL tomorrow and I'm going to spend so much time with him. ( ?͈ ॢꇴ `͈ॢ) I moved provinces away and don't get to see him a lot, so this is a pretty big deal to me. Currently I'm trying to show him how TBT works, so he can get help from others when I'm not available. I've sent him so many ACNL resources, he's probably annoyed by now, but I'm so excited!

I wanna give my dad my old 3DS. I wonder if he'd play it if I gave him my cycling copy.

That's very sweet of you!

My brother and I both played the GameCube version and would fight with each other because he'd leave trash everywhere after fishing and I wanted perfect town which was impossible to accomplish in that game lol. That my parents had to buy us another save cartridge so we could play without bodying each other...my dad also occasionally played the GameCube version as well.

Only I played Wild World.

My brother played City Folk for a short time and I played for awhile. But both my parents played it quite a bit! While we were in college they'd play and keep me updated on their towns and such. ^^

And only I'm playing New Leaf huehuehue

As a father whose kids gave me a 3DS XL & AC:NL for Christmas, I would just like to say you are awesome!

Nope. My parents hate the idea of me playing games in general.

Basically my parents QAQ
My dad doesn't like games, so I just had to win him over to let me buy NL...how did he ever let me buy a second copy i have no idea
Plus, my friends don't have a 2/3DS/XL nor are they fans of Animal Crossing, which singles me out even more...

Your dad's cool XD

That is a wonderful gift for your dad. I am a grandma and I love this game and yes I use a 2ds. It feels like a tablet to me. I hope your dad has many enjoyable hours of playing ACNL. :)

My older sister (who lives with me) recently retired. She is home all day by herself and gets very bored. She has seen me play WW & now NL. Last month she asked if she could try out my game. I have 4 characters in town (one based off of her) so she started playing as that character. All she wanted to do was fish and then go to the island to fish when I taught her how to go there. She now has the gold badge for catching a lot of fish (I still only have the silver badge). In the last week or 2 she asked if she could start decorating her house and talk to the villagers. I told her OK. Now she calls me at work a few times a day asking about something in the game. I think about getting her a copy of the game for herself, but I don't think she would like the mayor job, she likes being just a resident instead.

I would give 3DS's and copies of AC to my parents but they think it's **** and they haven't even played it yet.
They think it's some pathetic kids game that consumes my life.

Unfortunately no, I don't have any relatives who play. If they do though, I wouldn't really know as contact with other family members who aren't the ones I live with is incredibly uncommon. That is really cute though! Playing a game with my dad would be fun but he plays the worst games that usually don't even have a multiplayer option. :c

My parents don't do video games. I really doubt my dad could figure out how to work a 2DS or 3DS, honestly. He's not very tech savvy.
