Geez, she placed her house in a spot where I did NOT want it. Good thing I plot reset. Whew! Off my 3DS goes to try again. I have paths everywhere but they still manage to find the smallest spot to squeeze their house.

This is much better!

I have areas in my town where I want villagers to move, and the first picture was not one of them. The second picture was.

Actually the first image looks good to me lol. I have never tt. If they move in somewhere I don't like, I deal with it lol

Nice! The one time I don't plot reset is the time they find a hidey-hole to shove their house into.

I know right! This happened with Portia in my town. She put her house near the beach ramp because I forgot to put more path there and she managed to squeeze her house in.

I don't tt either but that wasn't a good spot for me, first of all she killed 3 fruit trees there, and that is not where I wanted houses to be placed. LOL

i love when villagers choose the one spot you don't want. i moved erik out last night, not because i didnt want him, but because his house was right next to mine. then today Patty moved in in the exact same spot :^) i have 7 villagers blocked in around me and town hall, meanwhile Annalise and Bianca have the whole other side of the river to themselves.

I want to plot reset but im scared i'll do it wrong.

It's actually not that hard. it's time consuming but not hard.

If you have less than 10 villagers, then create a new character (not your Mayor or a pre-existing character) go through all the hoolabaloo with Rover, then before going to town hall, run around your town to see where your new villager's house is, if it's in a spot where you don't want, turn your 3DS off, without saving, then turn it back on, and repeat with a new character until the new villager's house is in a spot where you want. Then if it is, go to town hall, talk to Isabelle, get your house and then talk to Isabelle again, then the game will automatically save.

Then next time you start up the game, you can delete the new character you use to check your town, or keep them, your choice. Putting down paths works too, I have paths everywhere in my town, but as you can see, they still manage to find a spot where you forgot to put a path and squeeze their house there. So even if you have paths down, it's still a good idea to plot reset.
