I have finally obtained Erik and I'm so overwhelmingly happy!!! But anyway, I'm getting prepared for his arrival in my town and there's a certain spot I want his house to be in.

I usually plot reset when it comes to dreamies. But it's so hard to get them in the place I want them since villagers can put their houses over plants, paths, etc. But what about items? Like furniture and clothing that I can just drop on the ground? I scattered tons of items from my storage and left very few options for him to place his house. I've never tried it before or heard of anyone doing this so that's why I'm asking. Can villagers put their houses over items too? Will this make plot resetting quicker? If not, what is the best way to get a villager in the spot you want them faster/easier?

You can bury items to prevent them from moving into spots, I think. I haven't tried it myself but I've seen it on tumblr.

IDK about villagers, but if you have the police station, items that special event tents or Redd's tent etc land on, end up in the police station. It might be the same with the villager houses. If you now how to do the plot reset and you're not against it, I would just keep resetting til you get him where you want. It might take a while, but it's your best bet.

I think it's a bit of a gamble. Just to be safe, I would just use the Plot-reset trick. But if you do wind up using dropped furniture to block it, I wish you luck.

They do move on top of buried items. I have tons of gyroids in my police station because of that. I'll be curious to see what happens if you do delete that character. Why did you use that one to invite him?

They will land anywhere despite items being there except of course the PWPs. Just do the Plot-reset trick and patiently reset until you get him where you want him. I managed to get a Street from plot resets.
