Where did you read that it makes you get make drops? I don't think that is true.

I just read it on a different forum and believed it. Probably placebo effect in my part.

I use the golden watering can, and do remake it when it’s broken, but not the others.

I don’t use the golden tools because I like the ones sold at Nooks Cranny and I enjoy customising my tool colours to match my outfit, haha. I also only have the golden slingshot and watering can recipes anyways. I haven’t even crafted a golden slingshot yet and I use the golden watering can on my black roses only.

I only use the golden slingshot because I like its durability and I can go several days/weeks without having to craft another (given that I only catch a few balloons each day). Other golden tools break too often so I don't use them.
