Topic is Golden Sun: Dark Dawn (the new DS game) and everything else relevant to Golden Sun.
Nintendo's E3 Site/Page For Golden Sun: Dark Dawn

Did you play the first two?
Did you like/dislike them?
Do you care if there's a third game in the series?

GOGOGO

I played the first two, liked both (except the random battles at sea in the second), and am not sure if want the third game, but if it's similar gameplay style (ex: djinni based classes/deep class system, huge/expansive world, enough new/interesting twists on old psynergies, etc.) then I'm all for it. Just going to get interesting how the series goes story-wise, from here.

Also, I know this was revealed last year, but now we know the title, have the gameplay trailer (though not sure if it has/was already released before now/this e3) and it's coming out soon, so figured it should be talked about if I didn't miss a topic. If it's already been discussed, allow me to say in advance, "MY BAD BRAH".

So my story with golden sun, (for those who care :p ) is that an older person, who lived next door (who also introduced me to a few other kickass game series) let me borrow golden sun since I had come over and played some games and stuff, and he had just finished it, or so I recall.

I remember beating it, and giving it back to him. game was awesome. I remember this one day while on a long trip, while we're stopping at wal-mart. I see golden sun: The Lost Age, and instinctively have to have it.

I hate this game, though I loved the first one. my general complaint, as I recall, was getting stuck every two seconds, due to me having next to no patience.

K, so I lose TLA, ("misplace" it, if you call it that, yourself :p ) and later, on one of my then-frequent stops to gamestops to buy awesome used game boy advance titles (Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, get it.) that I remembered from said older person, and find Golden Sun. definitely worth the $10. I really need to replay the whole series, now that I think about it ;-;

anyways, I get stuck in this game, the same as I used to in the second one. I go wtf, thinking I should be able to breeze through it instead of getting stuck, since I've already beaten it, and I more or less re-experience the game, since I have that whole newfound knowledge of "OMG RPG IS A STRATEGY GAME NOT JUST ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK???"

so anyways, I finally beat it, and commence my quest to find TLA in my clutter. I do, some weeks later (and plenty of other GBA gems) and take the dive into the painstakingly long passcode system (since my gba's suck royally at connecting) and start my second playthrough.

I get stuck, but I beat the part I was stuck at last time, and laugh at myself for being a kid at the time.

anyways.

tl;dr,

great game, totally recommended if you haven't already played it. go snatch it up from your local gamestop, if you have one/it has one of the two games. it shouldn't be more than $15, used, you might get the first for $10, I forget.

looking forward to the third installment and where they go with the story from here, but can't help but feel like the story's already been fully told already, and this is kinda a tack-on game, but they'll hopefully prove me wrong. :D

I had the first one but I was never able to figure it out as a small child. This may be my chance to finally get into this series.

I've heard a lot of great things about it and I'm glad to see that it is not dead.
