Selling Golden Axe/Shovel Rental

i've been informed that if you borrow golden tools from me, you will never be able to get them from leif. i will not let you borrow the tools from me for that reason. however, if you have an extra character who you never plan to give a golden axe or shovel to, you are more than welcome to borrow my tools. just be aware you will never be able to get the tools for that character unless you buy them from somewhere on here. also, if you end the session before giving my tools back, i will flip off the wireless switch and give you negative feedback.

i'm willing to come to your town for a little while and chop down some trees or plant some money for a small fee of 1k bells!

• direct me to exactly which trees you want me to cut, and exactly where you want me to plant money
• if i'm using the golden shovel for you, give me the money that you'd like me to bury! or, i can bury my own money and you can pay me back for it!

Nat, Chip, Lief and Isabelle will not give you the golden tools if you have had them enter your inventory. The golden slingshot will not fly over town if a golden slingshot has been in your inventory!

Interesting! I did not know that. There are plenty of people selling golden tools for TBT, though.

Um, I don't think that this is true, personally. I have a golden axe in my inventory, and Leif just gave me another golden axe yesterday.

Edit: I just read on another website that you can't get golden tools from NPCs if you already have them, but that's really strange, considering that I legitimately got a golden axe from Leif. Perhaps this needs to be looked into a little bit more? I'm sorry for the confusion, but I will tell you, in my case, it's possible to receive duplicates.

I also received a golden axe last week whilst having another golden axe in my inventory so maybe that's not the case?​
