sorry but you can only sell them at retail for 4,000 so that isnt really worth it
Actually, people do tend to pay around 100k-150k for Gold Nuggets, as they are the most difficult to find regarding all of New Leaf's gems and lots of players are very interested in creating 'Gold Furniture', so they tend to be in high demand.
An example to back that up; Sloppy Items may be sold at Retail for a couple hundred bells when in reality people will pay you millions of bells for them. I sold my Sloppy Clock for 2 million last week.
It all depends on the rarity of the item and the demand for it, really.
