even for something like a bidoof they want rayquaza, groudon, darkrai, yveltal, xerneas and any legendary you can think of

i wonder if anybody actually trades with them.. maybe they trade them a hacked legendary rigged to jack up the game

Can relate. I've seen more than my share of ripoff trades on there -_-. It's rather frustrating.

Yea, it makes searching for even the most common Pok?mon a hassle. Definitely. Basically I put it down to people who want to show off their Pok?mon, most of the time.

a while ago i pokegenned a bunch of lvl 100 shiny lugias named ????? with the worst possible IVs and nature i could give it and no attacking moves and used them to trade off in the GTS

Yea I've seen my share of hacks that slip through .

They need to fix this somehow. Like put pokemon into tiers, each tier is determined by how many "Value Points" a pokemon has. Value Points will fluctuate, depending on rarity, shininess could add a bit, maybe IVs, base stats, level.. Pokemon that are too far away in Value Points cannot be traded on the GTS. Pokemon cannot be requested if they are lower or higher in tier, they must be the same tier. If a pokemon is normally in one tier, it possibly could be bumped up if it is shiny, has great IVs, has a hidden ability, is high in level, etc.

I have no idea. I have never used the GTS, so this probably could all be pointless.

GTS is so annoying, it's actually really hard to get there anything you want lol. I have no idea why you can even ask for event legendaries there, since you can't trade them anyway. It always soo annoying when I see a cool shiny or something and they ask for Arceus

Just stalk the gts alot, people add more pokemon every second and a lot of people add fair trades. If you are OK with it trade ASAP :]

I got a shiny dewgong for a raichu :]
