giving villagers dlc/unorderables?

does anyone else do this? i just gave lily one of my afternoon tea sets. she deserves cute things <3 i just hope it won't end up in retail later D:

Yeah i do this i use to give out jack in the boxes
I gave Rooney the Ice clock
Bianca the Ice mini table thing plus Bianca already had the kitchen island in her home.
You'll find some animals have rare things in their homes as they move in.

Its a cute idea i like sharing things :3

I always gave my villagers in my old town dlc items! I feel like it was more personal!
and I gave flurry the entire princess set

naH bc they always get rid of stuff to put fish or clothes there instead smh. i just dont even try to make my villagers' houses pretty because it isn't worth it

I do gift my villagers with dlc and also Gracie furniture. Do they get rid of this stuff? Of course. But the fun is in the gift giving. If they decide to get rid of it after one day, who cares? In Animal Crossing as in life, once a gift leaves your hands, it no longer belongs to you.

I've been trying to get Merengue the Sweets set but it's been slow going because whenever she pings me to get her furni she wants a specific thing replaced and I forget her layout or she goes and replaces something I didn't want her to chuck (like swapping out her refrigerator with the sweets macaron player). I've also been giving Baabara the purple rococo set :3 it's fun and I don't do their fish/bug requests and if they ask to deliver presents I save and open it first and if it's clothing or furni I just keep it myself instead of ruining their homes.

I don't get DLC unless I buy it from someone else (like on the forums) so I haven't thought about giving it to villagers, but I do buy them Gracie furniture and outfits. :3

I gave Octavian my HHA jacket because my mayor doesn't wear it and I thought it would look good on him.I have a lot of dlc/unorderables taking up space so I don't mind giving them to my villagers...but I'm keeping my piggy banks.

actually I've sent my villagers shirts I wanted them to wear that were from gracie, but I've neer tried with their houses.

If I really like the villager I give it all the cute furniture I can find cause I want them to have a cute house cause I love them so much!
