Giveaways + Chances of Getting Voided Villagers

So Felicity has pinged to move. Once she's out I'll have my 10th space open for my final dreamie Ankha, who is being held for me.

I would love to give Felicity away here because she's somewhat popular and I often see people looking for her. Also she's been with me for a long time and is really sweet, so I would hate to send her into the void.

But! I am worried that if someone visits my town, a voided villager will move in and take Ankha's spot and I won't be able to get them out.

Is there a way to prevent random move ins and still do a giveaway?
Or should I just void her to be extra safe?

Just make a rule to be: don't come if you have recently voided a villager :3

Have a rule that if they have voided someone they can't have her...

Something I did once was having someone first visit my cycle town twice to "clear their wifi pool" before coming to my main town.
It worked. Their Voided Flora went to my Cycle town and I got no voided villagers.
So, if you have a spare town, or know some one who wouldn't mind a random visit for like 2secs, it could help you. =3


edit ... on a side note you probably want to fix your signature since it is over 250pixels high...

I would void her. I was about to get Julian one time and I got a move in from when I gave away Aurora.

Yeah I feel really bad for Felicity but I am leaning towards this option.

... for me it is like 640 wide and 478 high...
It's saying "this image or video is currently unavailable" and has it repeated in several languages and "flickr" at the bottom.
((maybe whatever you are linking is blocked in the USA so it doesn't show the right thing for me since I live in the USA? I can always screenie to show you what it's doing to me. XP))

But yeah. The person who picked up my Avery was saying they voided Flora over a week ago and didn't think she was still there... Made her go to the Cycle town first anyways.
Sure enough, there was Flora's plot the next day in Cycle. XP

Should be... I always make sure people have visited my cycle town before I trade between my town and it and I have yet to get any voids from my cycle town. XP

I think it would be nice if you give Felicity away. People who have dreamies and are serious about the whole villager trading deal are typically good about villager voids, or at least knowledgeable about them. Just say that you can't pick her up if your void isn't clear, and they'll hopefully be understanding. Or try and be selective. Don't just hold a giveaway thread for any random person to take her. Go through the "Looking For..." thread, since those people are more proactive and more likely to be understanding of your situation.

Edit: Well, ignore me! Looks like you may have found someone! Yes, the void should be cleared if they have WiFi'd with someone recently.

You can always log in with a new character the following day after Felicity moves and check your town for a plot. If there isn't one, save, delete character, and safely pick up Ankha with your mayor.

Yeah I figured it would more be an issue of if they weren't sure someone was in the void or not. People here are pretty straightforward.
