Give me your house designing ideas!

Hello my fabulous forum friends~

I am running a bit low on the creativity lately and I wanted some input. I have 4 characters total in my town, mostly for pattern storage.

I really like the idea of a house using all of the room to work for a central theme. My main character's house is a complete hotel (Hotel Leaf, creative I know lol). It has the lobby, a cafe, 2 rooms, a grand suite and a boiler room (with a creepy surprise no one has noticed yet).

My second pattern holder's house is a complete movie theatre. It has the main lobby area with an arcade, ticket counter and place to buy refreshments. It also has 3 screening rooms with signs outside letting you know what's playing. The top floor is unupgraded and is storage for projectors, old popcorn machines and boxes.

I have two other houses that I just have NO idea what to do.

I was thinking of converting one into an entire house, with each room being a piece of it (kitchen, bathroom etc). Since I haven't built the rooms, I can leave them small and not upgraded, so I could have a small bathroom. I could also do a house Zelda themed. Ex: the entrance room is the temple of time with the mater sword in the center + pillars all around. Other rooms would be various areas, perhaps temples.

I would really like to hear any ideas you guys have for themed houses, what did you do in your house? :3

My house doesn't have too creative of a theme. It's just a princess paradise. All of the lighting and most of the furniture is pink. My friend's house is themed as a spa, though! There's a dressing room, a bathhouse, a lounge, and a Japanese themed spa room. Another friend said he's making his house like N's castle (from Pokemon), but I haven't played Black/White or checked up on his town in a while, so I'm not too sure how that's going.

Maybe make one house a mall you could have like a main entrance then each room could be like a different store. Electronics for one, clothing for another, maybe and art or knickknack store furniture, etc

The spa sounds awesome! I had my house pink and cute before, but I got bored of the way I had it. I want to try to do more than just having bedroom sets in each room, which is what I was doing. So boring! xD

That sounds like a nifty idea, writing that down in my notebook! I've been trying to jot down houses in dream towns that are amazing :3 thank you!

I did this in my town - in addition to my house, I have a mall with a toy store, bridal shop, electronics store, gift shop, and a food court - a hotel with a lobby, guest rooms, a gym and a penthouse - and last but not least, a school with a library, lab, classrooms (regular, music, astronomy) and a nurse's office.

The best idea I had I never fully implemented as my town corrupt before I fully expanded my alt chars house.

After seeing the number lamps could be green I made a matrix themed room (Its actually in my basement in my old towns Dream code) and was going to set up my house to be like the matrix lab with the screens, and a pod/sleeping area with mannequins creeping the place out. Would have been awesome seeing as there's so many items for this with the robo series, lab set, sci-fi set, the machine pieces, space set etc. o: Maybe if I save another 7 mil I'll make a house for this again in my new town.

The other house thing I wanted to do was a Hogwarts/ Chamber of Secrets house. I tried to make patterns for the walls that said "The Chamber of secrets has been opened" and "Enemies of the heir beware" in red, but couldn't fit it all in my patterns and then gave up.
Was going to be the corridor with the writing on the walls in the main room (with no back room to display the writing) A girls bathroom off to the right with creepy cauldron for Polyjuice potion and sinks and snakes about. The basement being the Chamber of secrets with Zodiac snakes and Pillars etc. The upstairs room was going to be Dumbledores office ~ just because I wanted the birdcage with Fawkes and a witches sorting hat. xD

My mayors house is just a bunch of sets my 2nd characters house is a cafe with a VIP bar on the 2nd floor and will have a garden on the left or right side of the cafe, not sure which side.

My 3rd characters house is a Spa, the main room is a reception, the left and right rooms are men/womens baths. c:

You could make it look like an actual house? With the 4 mannequins you could make them look like a family - Mum, Dad, brother, sister? I don't know, i'm not that good as designing :3
