give a hamster a hamster cage?

what happens if you give a hamster a hamster cage? do they have special dialogue?

I gave hamlet a hamster cage. He just had his generic dialogue when I gave him the hamster cage. It would be great if they updated the dialogue for that specific item when it comes to hamster villagers.

It would have been really fun if all the animals did that with their items. Like if there was a few different gift dialogues for cats and the cat specific things, the dogs with the doghouse, all domesticated breeds with the pet food bowl.

Wish they had special Dialogue. I would want to see what happened if you Gave Apple an Apple, or Cherry(and Cheri) Cherries, and Tangy an orange.

Yeah I gave lucky a dog food bowl, but it got replaced with other furniture I gave him. I'd like to give a frog to a frog villager. If you give them it to a lazy frog villager, then it makes them seem like a cannibal because they have the dialogue about wanting to eat the fish, except in this case it is a frog.

I don't think it'd be cannibalism for a frog villager to eat a frog, not unless you think eating a chimpanzee would count as such for us.

Side note, this now bothers me, there's no villager named after or based on a pear.

i have apple on my island & my friend really hates her so she mailed me a hamster cage to give her and some barbed wire to put around her house,, rude af but as far as i know they don't react any differently LOL

Flurry has a hamster cage in New Horizons as well. Though I doubt there is specific dialog for it.
