Usually I sell the things my animals give me, but there was one item I got from Molly that I haven't been able to sell, the Merry go round. It doesn't fit my houses theme, or my interests at all but because she gave it to me. I hold on to it. Is there anything special from a villager that you hold onto? (Pictures don't count!)

Well, it's a nice thing, anyway. I got something from Skye that she said she was sure I would love, and I'm right now so concerned not to have anything on me that villagers will ask me for that I got rid of it without even fully registering what it was. I need to get back to playing the way you are, since it's nice.
I suppose I play the game a bit differently then others. xD
edit: its not like i keep everything I get from every animal. I usually sell it right away, but for some reason I cant sell this object.. thats what this threads about. xD the one thing that you cant bring yourself to sell.

aww, that's sweet! I'm sure I must have saved a few things but I guess I haven't been particular about it.
Thas cool! Kidd sent me a rose in the mail when I was having a bad day. totally cheered me up!
I hoard the animated items they give me. Example, the train set Bones gave me. It's super cute, and I might just put it in my Around the World exhibit even though it isn't a Gulliver item. It can represent the Trans-Siberian railway or something. (I've already got the Tower of Pisa in there, though it isn't Gulliver, and will add the Arc de Triomphe as well.)

Pretty sure Rolf or Savannah gave me a throne after they moved in and I sent them a letter. Just not seeing a reason to part with it because it's rare and hey it's neat.

Oh yeah forgot about that! I did in fact keep a villager's gift - Phoebe sent me a pink tulip. Well, I don't like pink much and the only flowers allowed in my town are black and orange (with a special exception for some blue roses in my Narnia forest feature) so I couldn't put it outside, but it's in a display case in my house. There we are, I can be sentimental sometimes
