GIF avatar not working?

Hi,
I made a gif of some ACNL screenshots of mine,
but when I uploaded it to make it my avatar it just shows one of the frames?
Is there any way to make it work please?

she has a gif right now and you can the add on in her inventory :/

Yes I have the gif add on, and I tried with a small version that was less than 100x100 and it still shows only 1 frame.

Try uploading it to a website, and then adding it through the link option rather than upload..

I heard that uploading gifs directly from your comp doesn't work (maybe I'm wrong, but worth a shot)

I just tried with tinypic and it just says the file is incorrect or something along those lines.

Tinypic is horrible. Use Imgur.

That would be the foolproof solution. If it's still not working, maybe ask someone with a GIF avatar or a mod for help.
