Hello all , i have been desperately fishing for a giant snakehead . some websites say its available in July some in June and between 9 am and 4pm . If anyone would point me in the right direction or even trade me one i'd be soo grateful .

Hi! Sorry to hear you?re having trouble. I?m still having difficulty catching the coelacanth!
You?ll have way better luck finding people to help you in the ?Re-Tail? forums (to buy services) or if you want someone to visit you and walk around and help you, the ?The Train station? forums.
Unfortunately, you can?t actually trade fish/bugs/sea creatures in the game with anyone, it?s just not possible unless you hack the game.
But I think there you will find people that will walk around your town with you and help you
This forum is usually for trading animal villagers.

You can catch this fish during June to August, 9 am - 4 Pm, at river where it has large space like a pond.
Unfortunately you can't get fish by trades in NL.

And yeah, it may be better to post in NL discussion board next time. ^^;

Ahhh , silly me . i caught a coelacanth last night only one i've ever caught !!! thanks for the pointers .

I just caught the giant snakehead a few weeks ago. Are you in the big pond area in your town's river? That's only where it spawns.

It took me a good 10 minutes to get it because it's in such a remote area in your town which doesn't require too much walking. Basically just look for a uniquely big shadow (you'll notice it amongst the rest instantly), and if you don't see it then press START and save and continue. That'll re-spawn different fish currently in the water. If you don't see it, then repeat the steps of save+continue until it finally spawns.

If you are looking for a giant snakehead, you can occasionally find them in the lake whilst on the island tour games since they are set at the right time, so say you were on the butterfly tour, you could still fish for and take home the giant snakehead hope that somewhat helps
