Me and my boyfriend have been trying to find one for ages and have had no luck, any help on how I can find one?
Have any of you had trouble finding one? Tips would be much appreciated. ^-^

I heard that they are only out for a short time. I think between 5-7. I caught my around 5:30PM, near one of my bridges. I have not seen another one since.

I'm usually playing during those times, and I've never seen one either.

I found my first flying above the ocean.

They are pretty hard to find.. I have circled my town for for hours looking for one (between 5-7). The method I used, which finally worked, was to walk everywhere in town and on the beach and if I didn't see one I would go inside a building and repeat the slow process.

I spend two hours a day looking also. Also missed violin beetle. Too late now.

Try circling around the river, scaring (or catching) any other bugs you see along the way. That's how I found mine.

I just found one. 6:57 in my town over flowers by the river.

This one was a tough find! Also found one near the river and not another since. Keep at it!

I just had one fly in front of my character a couple nights ago. Scared me a bit because it was so massive, and because I wasn't expecting/looking for it! They are quite rare, though. I'd say, just go on about your business and make sure you play during its "sighting" hours. It'll happen upon you eventually.

I've seen them on island tours too, so if you're having trouble maybe you can try smuggling them off (the non-bug tours, of course)

I have only seen them over the ocean, I have caught one so far and that is it.

One hour, and only one small dragonfly. This is driving me nuts.

Yeah, the spawning time for it is from August-October from 5 PM - 7 PM. They are considerably rare, and I've only caught 2 or 3 throughout the whole month. Apparently they're more common in more open spaces, so I would try and avoid looking within the tree-filled areas, since they're probably harder to spot there, too. Don't give up, especially because you still have two more months left to catch it!

Just had to share my excitement! Yesterday I was so frustrated about catching one. And guess what.....I Just Did!!! I went about pretending not to care and was watering flowers. I was on edge overlooking the beach and spotted it behind me. Can't miss. It's huge. Immediately took to museum because I've mistakenly sold too many things in haste. Yay!!!

I caught my first one yesterday. It was easy to spot because I had just cut down all the trees on the lower half of my town and replaced them with Perfect Cherries, so I could easily see over the baby trees.

Do you really have proof as to finding it in the morning? I'm interested!
