Getting your villager to wear their original shirt..

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has problems with this. My villagers always end up with stupid looking shirts. Beau's original shirt is this super cute orange white top with deers on it, and he changed into the ugly green duck shirt. I couldn't take him seriously for the longest time.

Then.. I get Ruby, wear the green shirt too! UGH! Ruby! You are a rabbit, wear that cute rabbit shirt you showed up to town with.

The list goes on..

Then, I go to Isabelle to complain about them. And they change into this white gym shirt. So now, i have a few villagers running around in this white school gym shirt like everyone's in PE class. Seriously!

Any tips or tricks to get them to wear their originals?

I like to buy the shirt as many times as I can, then send them a copy every couple days. Seems to work, but they usually change it again in a few weeks.

Yeah just send them about 2-3 letters a day with the shirt attached. Usually they'll be wearing it the following day :]

I also mail several letters a day with the shirts attached--usually it takes a couple of days. The unfortunate aspect of that, provided that you don't want this, is they'll probably end up also putting the shirt up in their house.

What I do
Put then in the ugly gym clothes
Send them the shirt on letter
And next day they are with that shirt

Because those gym clothes in a way they don't exist

also! forgot to mention, for the future... you can change the shirts in able sisters to dressed/hats/umbrellas so they don't wear the ugly presets.

I had 3 zebra shirt
I told Isabelle about their clothes wrong
they change to that shirt
I send them letters and next day I saw them with shirt
