Getting the same set of villagers when making a new character.

Also known as the plot reset trick but I'm not using it to plot reset, I'm using to get my dreamies. I seem to just be getting the same set of villagers every time. It's usually Bill, Bud, Coach or Flip.

I'm going pokemon hunting soon so I might now reply.

Are you looking for a specific jock villager? I know that you're looking for any kind of dreamie, but I only ask because the four you mentioned are all jocks.

I think the game will generally generate villagers you 1. Have the least of and 2. Are not the same type as the last type to move out. So yes, it's not entirely random, and if you're getting entirely jocks you will probably have to move in a jock and just wait and hope for the next move in cycle to have villagers of the types you are looking for :c

I have also noticed that I tend to get the same villagers over and over again some times (once when smugs were moving in I got Zell 5 times in a row!) but I've usually been able to break this with enough patience, so it may just be bad luck!

Ohhh I didn't realize you were looking for a jock! In that case yeah, if your town is making jocks you should definitely keep at it! You will probably be getting entirely jocks during this move in cycle, so it will be a good time to look for them!
