Animal crossing is way more than a game to me. A lot of peers break my items, are very rude to me, and kick me. So in a way, I like my neighbors then my real life peers. Plus, Animal crossing is a great game for study breaks! And I think the Animal crossing community is one of the best out there. I've made more friends by going to club Tortimor than actually going to school. Well, thanks for reading.

Sometimes people on the internet are better than those in real life. I have basically no IRL friends, but I never feel lonely on TBT.

I have no friends IRL and I'm like perfectly okay with that is that even normal..?? lol I just don't get along with people well because of my personality but I still have my boyfriend, ACNL, and TBT to keep me busy :P

I feel you. I've honestly started hanging out more with my friends I've made online via Raidcall than I am with my friends from school. It's good to know that you feel welcome here c:

sans becoming too personal, animal crossing new leaf is my first AC game, and it is also more than merely a game. my cousin bought it for me without my knowledge, and he recently passed away from cancer. the game seems like his last way of getting me through a rough time.

i'm wary of people in general, online as well seeing as how the dota community is full of poop-holes. that's why i was so surprised to find this forum and that everyone is so willing to help out others. it makes me more hopeful. thanks TBT community :3

i feel embarrassed now.

No need to be embarrassed captain_katie!
I don't have that many friends in real life, I've been unemployed since February, I have some health problems and don't go to school. So, overall, I just have my husband, my best friend and my mother in real life. Animal Crossing has been such a great distraction from my health problems and I love the TBT community, ya'll are so welcoming compared to other ones.

❤ thank you, luna. by the way, luna is one of my favourite names because it means moon.
you have us too! (dunno if i can say that because i'm quite new, but i am going to say it anyways heh)

I know what you mean. I only have a few real life friends that respect me and that I can confide in, and when I'm having a bad day, tending to my town and interacting with my villagers always makes me feel better, even if only a little bit. It's my own little town, with my own rules and how I want it to be, and it's never rude or hateful there like real life can be.

I think it's somewhat normal- especially if you're introverted, to not have very many friends. It's not- all that important. It feels like it is, and through high school I felt the same way- to a point- that you do.

But once you're out of there, you'll realize that having GOOD friends is a lot more important than 'a lot' of friends. No matter where they come from. IRL friendships and OL friendships can have just as much- uh. Friendship. I mean, I'm not in love with y'all as a community just yet, but you're way better than others I've run into.

As for being attached to AC- I think that's pretty normal, too. It's designed to get you involved every day. Plus, feelings get involved. It's not a harmful distraction, so keep at it.

Uh. I hope things get better for you in terms of those- *holes breaking your stuff.

I agree completely, Animal Crossing is a great game to distract yourself from something. I am introverted & have a few friends in real life but they exclude me from most things and I'm okay with that because I know I don't add to the conversation much, but quite frankly I prefer being home with Animal Crossing than out with friends.

It also looks like I could possibly have some medical issues arising, so if I have to become homeschooled then I'll have more time to be with my villagers.

i think i found my identical twin.

Since I suffer from depression, Animal Crossing is perfect for improving my moods and keeping me safe even when I'm alone. It's a happy place full of little villagers who are ALWAYS happy to see me, and who genuinely want to be my friends.

Playing this game helps a lot with my loneliness, as it's hard for me to make rl friends.

It makes me feel wanted, and gives me another reason to keep going; someone has to look after my town, after all.

... Sorry, that was emo.

I don't have any Rl friends anymore. Animal crossing is my safe haven. I can chill with my loving villagers, play hide and seek and decorate my own little world. I'm awkward and such irl so >< but people in this forum is lovely.

I've met two really good friends through Animal Crossing. One of them we now text everyday. :)
