Getting a tan

I noticed that my mayor was getting a little darker a few days ago. Today, she is really dark! Is it possible for your mayor to get a tan? Can someone offer an explanation? I didn't know it's possible!

It's a cool feature of the game! However, I don't really want my mayor to look so dark XD

No way! I need a hat like that! haha I don't think I like my mayor being this dark!!

You just answered your own question lol.
Wear an umbrella and you'll lose a shade every other day or so. To get that dark you need to have tanned for like 7 days

It will take a few days to go back to normal, but you definitely won't get any darker

in spring you don't get tanned but if you spent some time at the island where it's permanently summer in the sun it should definitely make you darker. I remember being able to tt backwards, or forwards too either way, and it'll get rid of the tan faster so in case you wanna do that, there's an option.

I really wish there was a way to make the tan permanent on my mayor. Hopefully the AC developers will realize the world isn't composed of only white people and allow us to have brown and black mayors in the next game.

thank you. that was just what i was about to say haha. it was disappointing seeing that they can have your character with all these shades of brown, but not allow them to be permanent. Its hard to see my mayor with MY NAME, put in the game when my mayor looks nothing like me.
