gayle copies catchphrases right at the start

gayle was one of the first villagers to move into my town. a bit before that flora asked me to change her catchphrase, so i changed it to "stemmie" and when i visited gayle when she moved in, that's what her catchphrase was. i assumed it happened to be her default catchphrase, but it's actually "snacky." i didn't figure that out for months.

has this ever happened to anyone else or am i weird?
