Which games do YOU think are awful (and don't say Pokemon X; there are Gensixers out there who HATE bad comments about Kalos)?
On my side of the thread, I want to say "Luigi's Mansion". Many people absolutely LOVE to abuse the generic spoopy soundtrack in their videos, and my mother got to Chauncey (the baby boss), who TERRIFIED me as a kid (gahd, I was a wuss). Now I think it's just bland.
Pokemon is a well known series. X/Y was good anyway, in my opinion. Better than most Pokemon games. Not that they weren't amazing, though.
Bubsy is awful. Destroy it.
Bubsy wasn't awful...Just not that good. It wasn't the worst crappy Sonic/Mario clone.
Now, Bubsy 3D on the other hand...*shudder*...The fact that somebody said "Let's make Bubsy 3D" and people thought it was a good idea is mind blowing. I still struggle to come to terms with the fact of that event actually had to have happened.
Jak & Daxter 4 was awful. Many people don't even know there was a 4th Jack & Daxter game. Hell, as a huge Jak & Daxter fan, not even I knew about it until about a year ago...And as I found out, there's a reason nobody talks about that game.
I like to include Luigi's Mansion as its own series.
Another game that wasn't worth it was Big Brain Academy. It's just some lame excuse for a Brain Age clone, only instead of using a popular Japanese psychologist, they create someone entirely new who looks like a wrinkly keyhole named (for some reason) Dr. Lobe.
If they're part of a well-known series, then they have to go by one condition: the game is a hot mess made by a 3rd-world company who knows nothing about the series.
The Star Wars Battlefront games, Elite Squadron and Renegade Squadron which were made by Rebellion. I absolutely loved the first 2, Rebellion basically took everything out of the games that made the first two good. I guess they were kind of spin-offs though. Here's to hoping that Star Wars Battlefront 3 will be better, I have a lot of faith in DICE, although there'll probably be an awful lot of bugs for a long time if it's anything like BF4.
