HELLO. THANK YOU FOR VIEWING THIS THREAD.
OH I MADE THIS THREAD BECAUSE IT'S HARD TO SEARCH FOR QUESTIONS THAT AREN'T ON THE MAIN LIST OF FAQ ON THAT THREAD..SORRY IFYOU DONTGETIT

I'm having a little trouble breeding hybrids and was just curious if anyone knew the answers to a couple of my questions that I have.
Sorry for poor grammar, I'm trying. :(
SORRY IF THIS IS THE WRONG SECTION TO POST IN.
SORRY IF THESE QUESTIONS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED BEFORE......

Thanks in advance for answering questions.

I numbered them if you wanted to give really short answers or specific answers to specific questions. You do not have to use the numbers >_<'

But yeah here are the questions.

I ask some of these because I look up different sources and they all say different things, I just wanna see if anyone's confirmed anything...(?)
PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO TERU'S POST ABOUT BLUE ROSES FOR MORE INFO
EXTRA INFO: And if you didn't already know, it's best to keep your plots small (I think I mentioned this before), and with this, I'd recommend only trying to grow one hybrid at a time for now. Get two Blue Roses, then get two Purple Pansies, or vice versa. Once you have two of each, they'll multiply like weeds. I'd also try using that Fertilizer on the hybrids instead of the trees if you can spare it.
1) I'm having trouble breeding blue roses/purple pansies from the hybrid reds so: Which breeds breed hybrid red pansies and roses? Please specify in your answer when you're answering...(I'm currently trying blue roses with 3 "hybrid red roses" that I breeded from an orange and purple rose... 2) is the chance really low?)
edit: 1b) What happens if you breed a red rose with a hybrid red rose and a purple rose? Is that red rose a hybrid red rose too?

I believe that Blue x Red makes Hybrid Red Pansies and Orange x Purple makes Hybrid Red Roses.
2. Yes. The chances of getting both Purple Pansies and Blue Roses are pretty low. I had more trouble with the Blue Roses, personally. Keep at it. It can easily take weeks or months.
1b It would technically be a Hybrid Red Rose since it has the Hybrid Red Rose genes in it, but I still think it's best to use definite Hybrid Red Roses from Orange x Purple Roses (or Hybrid Red x Hybrid Red). It's difficult enough getting those genes to mix up and create a Blue Rose, you don't need any extra Purple Genes in there, is my thinking, at any rate. It's basically the same thing where you can use Black Roses from Hybrid Reds, but why bother?

3) Also: Which flowers do I breed with the hybrid red pansies/roses(specify again please!) for purple pansies/blue roses?
3. It's best to just breed those with each other (Hybrid Red Roses x Hybrid Red Roses and Hybrid Red Pansies x Hybrid Red Pansies). You want a decently-sized plot, but it shouldn't be too large. Once you get a handful of them, just keep watering them and be patient.

4) In addition: Do all hybrids breed with themselves(excluding the....jacobs ladder...and...stuff that cant breed...)? yes & 4. Besides the Jacob's Ladder, the only other flower you can't breed is the Gold Rose. Other hybrids can be bred together to create more hybrids.

5) One more!: Is it true that if you acquire 2 black roses from 2 hybrid red roses and you use those two black roses to breed, they might make a blue rose?
It is true, technically, since those Black Roses will inherit genes from the Hybrid Red Roses, but I found it easier to stick with the regular Hybrid Red Roses. I found that those Black Roses just make more Black Roses.

Other:

6) For perfect fruit and fertilizers: when do you plant the fertilizer? 7) Or does the fertilizer only "disappears into the game" when it's working/used?

To clarify for 6/7: Do you bury the fertilizer when the fruit is still on your normal fruit tree, or when you've shaken them down? What 7 is asking is: Would it make a difference?
AKA: When to bury?

6. I'm not 100% sure on this, but I believe you bury the Fertilizer after you shake down some fruit and new ones begin to grow.

7. Fertilizer disappears after a day.

For time travellers/cyclers:
8) What happens if you have a villager who pings you and say, for example, it's 6/21 today, they say, "I'm gonna move on the 25th! (6/25)",(assuming you agree that they move out) and then you time travel backwards? 9) Do they still stay in your town until 6/25 in the in-game time? 10) As in, you can time travel to the past as much as you want but they'll stay in your town? Would you break the game like that? 11) Or is the 25 just a number, "4 days from today," and TTing to the past will count as a day forward? they go by amount of days not date for moving

12) How much time do you have to time travel into the past for this rule to apply(the minimum)?: "time travelling to the past will count as time travelling 1 day into the future", I'm assuming TTing long periods of times into the past will count as 1 forward from this rule. EDIT: To clarify, I'm asking what happens if I TT 1 minute into the past? In order for it to count as one day forward, you have to at least go to the previous day. So if you're at 1pm, time traveling backwards anywhere from 6:00am to 12:59pm will not count as one day as you're still on the same day (and days in animal crossing start at 6:00am) I frequently time travel from 12pm to 6pm and back to 12pm when I'm ordering things from the catalog so I don't have to go forward days.

EDIT: 13) If you have a villager in boxes at 1pm on day 1, and you TT to day 1 at 9 am, do they stay in boxes or does this count as moving a day forward and they're gone? dont pass/get to 6 am, they stay in boxes.

EDIT 2: 14)What happens when you have items on the floor and a building spawns on it? (Eg, items on plaza, and bug-off tent appears) this has happened to me and at first, I thought they just disappeared. Months later, I picked up the lost and found items in the police station and they ended up there. I can't remember what all I lost, so I'm not sure if all of them were there, but at least some of them ended up in the police station lost and found.
Thanks again!

4) yes

i might be able to answer 6/7, but i don't understand the questions very well

9-11) what you said in 11. they don't go by date when moving, they go by amount of days

12) you could travel as far back as you want, and it will only be one day forward. there isn't a limit

13) i'm pretty sure that as long as you don't pass/get to 6 am they will stay in boxes

i don't know much about gardening so i can't answer those

Hi, thanks for answering!

oooh ok. i think it should be when there is no fruit on the tree, so the perfect fruit can grow. but since fruit takes more than a day to grow, i don' t know if it should be buried when you just shook it or the day after

Thanks a lot for answering! I will be editting the answers into the OP incase someone searches for these questions using the search!

Your grammar is perfectly fine! And you don't have to apologize for posting; this is the perfect section to ask questions.

I'm going to throw everything under a spoiler tag since this is pretty long. Let me know if you have any other questions!

No worries! Also I seem to have missed a question:

Here's another one to add to your list of "different things different people/sources say":

Re: Blue roses

My personal experience breeding blue roses was:

[O x P = R+] - All normal here. I planted orange and purple in couples, not touching any other flowers, to make sure the reds were hybrids.

[R+ x R+ = R++]

[R++ x R++ = BLUE] - So these two steps were when things were different for me than the "official method". I never got "R+ x R+ = Blue", but whenever I got R++ (there's no proof these are different to R+. I'm just using R++ to denote red offspring of R+), I would replant them in a different special spot. The R++ roses spawned Blue roses with minimal effort (I.e. I wasn't even expecting them to breed so I didn't water or fertilise them, whereas the R+ roses I did water and fertilise never bred any blue roses.)

WOW!! Thank you for this response! It never occurred to me to do that! I always thought those offsprings were considered regular! I will def. try this out. Thank you a lot. I will add a huge note at the top of the thread to look at this reply since it's nicely colour-coded ^_^

Aww, thank you~

I'm not trying to disprove "R+ x R+ = Blue" or anything though, cos I'm sure that's a valid method that has worked for people too. But might as well make use of those R++ roses since you have them, if they can increase your chances :)
