Gaming guilds

What do you guys think of them? Are you a part of one? Tell us what you think.

I am part of a pokemon guild and it is pretty fun. great friends, good laughs, and intelligent conversations have been had.

If clan = guild, then I'm sorta in a Battlefield 3/4 group. I say sorta mostly because when Battlefield 4 and the PS4 came out, the group kind of split so its not really the same. Not to mention Battlefield 4 was completely awful at launch, so is pushed away a decent chunk of us. But used to we'd get together all the time on servers and just goof around. Fridays most of the older guys would get drunk and we'd make up silly game modes to play.

I guess I'm currently part of a free company in ffxiv. I'm having fun in it. I've met a lot of good friends thought it. Lots of good times.

Not too sure what a guild is. If it's a clan, I used to be in a MK8 Clan (C8* Crazy Eights). Once I get good internet again I'll join them back.

some of them are great (MK8 clans, Mabinogi, many others)
some have a middle ground (toontown clans like Cold Callers and Light are good but others are completely useless)
others are completely awful like those shooter clans

No not currently, but I have been before. Animal Crossing, Harvest Moon, Sims 3 and Pokemon, but I'd enjoy something different. I've not been in a more obscure "guild" in like 5 years.

I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around an Animal Crossing, Harvest Moon and Sims 3 clan. Enlighten me?

I've been in 2 guilds. One in GW2, but I was honestly too shy to say anything, so my boyfriend just did all the talking for me and set up parties and stuff.
Then one in Neverwinter. The leader wasn't active at all so I got promoted with a few friends and we went through dungeons together a lot. We had really fun guild meetings too.
