Games you want to like but just can't?

Any of the Harvest Moons besides the last one because I haven't played it. I was told it was a good series but I honestly just got so bored playing it. I can see why people would like it though.

Are you saying you want too like them? o.o

I don't but I will admit Blacks Ops 1 (or 2 can't remember) had some incredible use of choice and consequence.

Personally, I wish I enjoyed MOBA's more then I can play them online with my friends but mostly its just us fighting each other since I don't care to play them seriously.

I dislike shooters, but all my friends play the game so it's a bit boring being the only one playing games alone haha

I really, really want to like Yoshi's New Island. Yoshi is one of my favorite video game characters, and Yoshi's Island was one of the first Video Games I've ever played. But I just get bored really quickly with it. :(

every Tales game. it's so hard for me to get into. even watching it being played is extremely boring for me (i like watching gameplay). i just really dislike the battle system and the characters always seem to be annoying to me.. i've always wanted to like it but i just can't lmao.

mass effect. part shooter, scifi, many sads... nope. cant do it. sorry. too many things working against it for me. ill just stick to dragon age, though it would be nice if i could enjoy ME

Honestly the only good ME is 1. 2 is all right, but it's already clear that the writing was going downhill.
3 is just awful.

To add to my previous post: Final Fantasy IV. A lot of my friends have told me it's SO GOOD and have even bought it for me. The game's piss easy, I don't like the story so far and the battle system sucks. I can't like a Final Fantasy game for the life of me, and I feel bad that they spent their money to get me to like this game.

Sonic Lost World. I'm a big fan of the Sonic the Hedgehog series, and always will be. But, this game drives me insane. I'm not sure what the Wii U version is like, but, the 3DS version is absolute rubbish. The controls are awful, and, frankly, it's just Sega's version of Super Mario Galaxy.

I wish I could like playing Zelda,
I tried playing Ocarina or w/e but
I could never get into it. Maybe it's
cause of the graphics

I could never get into any of the Sonic games. I'm not just talking about the 3D ones (I know most of those are considered to be terrible); I'm mostly talking about the original ones on the Genesis, since those are the ones I've played.

I just can't get into the speed aspect of the games. I was one of those kids who played through games super slowly and explored everything and utilized every single collision tile to its fullest, and the idea of speeding through a level was just weird to me (and it also gave me motion sickness). I never really loved the art design either, and I never got the chance to listen to the music much, but it also didn't particularly stick out to me while I was playing either.

I can appreciate the level design choices that work well with the whole speed aspect (the loops, just the overall "stylish" nature of the game when you can zoom through a level perfectly, etc.), but I just never found it fun.

Animal Crossing Franchise. Just got sick of it, although I still love it because of those childhood memories ^^

All the Zelda games ever. I've tried to play them, but I always get so bored, plus I am no good at them. I traded my copy of Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D for a second copy of Animal Crossing: New Leaf.

I'm good at the handhelds but the moment i get on newer non handheldconsole than nes.. nope

I actually loved that game, but I have to say it was the first time ever I played an Ace Attorney game, so I can't really compare it to the previous versions. I did buy Apollo Justice a while ago, but since I hadn't finished Dual Destinies yet, I finished Dual Destinies first with the idea of continuing Apollo Justice after that. Which is something I haven't done yet. It's on my to To Do list, but I think it's partially because of the difference in images/visuals and what not. Still, I will finish Apollo Justice one day, just not sure when yet! x_x

Whaaaat wait a sec
You played the most recent AA game without playing any of the others first
Did I read that right or uh
I mean wasn't the whole storyline like super spoiled from doing that?? Like the first 3 games have their little trilogy, then it's Apollo Justice, then DD... but you're going backwards??! D: awww man, you should've played through the others first!

I will never be able to get into Pokemon. I played one of the games when I was a child, it's just dreadfully boring to me, and I can't imagine much difference other than in the graphics and Pokemon designs have changed in the years it's continued, but everyone seems to adore it. Must be something exciting within those games I just haven't picked up on.

I was trying to think of my choice while reading your guyses, and this would totally be it. I loved Pokemon at age 11 or 12. I really really dug every thing about it. About 5 generations later, I haven't liked a single game since Silver. Every single game feels identical. You start off in a small town, systematically fight 8 gym leaders while tackling some evil organization which climaxes into a 4 tough guy fight.

I tried SO hard to get excited about X/Y, and I actually did a bit, and played through it, and was horrible disappointed. Pokemon is trying hard to evolve in the wrong way. Usually Nintendo does awesome at adapting with the times, like with Mario and Zelda, sticking to the same formulas, but changing it up enough to keep it fun and exciting. Pokemon doesn't even seem to want to give try, just update the graphics and add a ton of random animals (come on, we all know pokemon are just cheesy rip offs of every day creatures).

Boo pokemon.

I really want to like kingdom hearts,

but its literally so confusing, time consuming, and boring after a while...

Final Fantasy XII. I gotta say that FFX and FFVII are among my favourite video games of all time. When I saw the trailer for XII I was insanely excited. It looked like such a beautiful game, but when I picked it up, dear god i had never been so disappointed in my life. Sure it was beautiful and visually stunning, but the story was eh, the battle system was difficult to get used to, and everything was so LINEAR AND GUIDED! Bleh. I stopped playing it after the second boss. It just annoys me that so much potential was wasted.

Oh, and the main thing that bugged me was the fact that everyone was a hero right at the beginning. Like, NO CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT WHATSOEVER. Yawn.
