Games you want to like but just can't?

I'm probably gonna get shot by so many people but League of Legends.
I've tried it so many times but I just can't like it.
It might be because of the negative feelings I have about it (tl;dr, my friends all play league, they all talk about league and pretty much always exclude me because I'm not part of the league fandom and it made me really sad and depressed for a while). I've tried to play with them and all but I just really couldn't get into it. I didn't find it fun at all but apparently its because of the "learning curve"

Imo, if the game doesn't motivate you to keep playing after two days, then its something you're not interested in and apparently none of my friends can grasp that people have preference in games and that I'm not interested in MOBA games like League.

Whaaaat wait a sec
You played the most recent AA game without playing any of the others first
Did I read that right or uh
I mean wasn't the whole storyline like super spoiled from doing that?? Like the first 3 games have their little trilogy, then it's Apollo Justice, then DD... but you're going backwards??! D: awww man, you should've played through the others first!

Well, I found out about Dual Destinies on this forum. I found a demo in the eShop, tried it and decided to buy the game and play it. Some people did mention that yes, it would be better to play the others first, but no one said it was really necessary. Not to mention, I did look at the older games but they were rather expensive (with the exception of Apollo Justice, hence why I bought it). That and I found out about the remake of the original trilogy in Japan, so I'm hoping it'll come to Europe. If it does, I'll definitely buy it.

As for spoilers; not really? I mean; yeah, quite a few things are revealed (like the whole "Dark Age of the Law" and all that), but I don't mind. I'm sure that I'll enjoy the other games, anyway. :)

A lot of games developed by Square Enix. I just can't get into most of them for some reason. I keep trying anyway though because I really want to like them.

Mass Effect, everyone is crazy about it, but I never actually liked it. I hoped that I will get to like it as I play it, but it never happened.

Hitman: Absolution. D: I want to play it but its not as fun as Blood Money was. :C

Any Legend of Zelda title. I keep on seeing it over and over around the internet filled with praises and nostalgic references but I can't seem to get myself to like the series; specifically, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. It's fun playing it, but I have no motivation whatsoever to pick it up in my free time. It's like when you download an app in your phone just to try it out but end up deleting it a minute later. I'm just not into these sort of games, I guess.

Another one is Fire Emblem Awakening. It was fun at first, but once I researched about skills, abilities, choosing who to marry for better children, etc. I just got overwhelmed with information to the point where it drove me away from playing it.

The only RPG game I like seems to be Pokemon - but it may be dwindling because I'm not overly hyped of the OR/AS releases.

SMT IV
I'm only like, 5 hours in, so I can't say much yet. However, I think it's okay... But the main reason why I'm not quite into it yet is probably that I lack the time to play video games.

Fire Emblem
Like the person above posted, once I actually began to go in-depth about marriages, children, skills, I just got too lazy to try. Also, when I was absorbed in that nonsense, I had to restart like four times. Really repetitive lol

edit: oh, and animal crossing
loved it at the beginning, now i'm like ehhh. im just tired of resetting plots, houses, etc. luckily i bought it for like $20

I have the same problem. I had never played a Fire Emblem game before and at first it was fun, but then - because I wasn't sure what I was doing exactly with all those classes and what not - I did some research and that turned out to be a bad idea. There were so many people saying 'get X married to Y and make sure to pass skill Z!' (Galeforce, anyone?) that at some point I just went 'Eh, whatever' and gave up playing. I do plan on picking it up again in the future, but I probably won't bother with all the children and all that jazz (I mean; for the first time playing a Fire Emblem, I think my goal should be to just finish the game and not stress myself over all the rest).

Super Mario Galaxy 2... The first was great but I just never got into the sequel. Can't think of anything else really. On a bit of a nintendo high at the moment.

OH

and Mass Effect.

Mass Effect.

(please hear me out before you get the pitchforks)

I started Mass Effect several times over. I watched my bae play it with rapt attention. And then I play it, and get invested in it, and it just- drops from my interest completely. Then the whole world decided to spoil the endings, and well. I just felt useless trying to play it again.

I hear from a lot of people that it didn't really take of until the second one. Gotta say that it was the goddamn car controls that killed it for me. Instant headache.

I bought Kirby's epic yarn and majoras mask like 2 years ago for, like $20 combines and I played like 1 hr of Kirby and none if majoras mask oops

I rly wanna play them both but #lazy
