Games you love, but everybody else hates.

Super Paper Mario. It's considered a step back by many Paper Mario fans, but I still love it. It's a hell of a lot better than Sticker Star.

The Golden Sun games.

There's a cult following for it, but I've never spoken to a person that's enjoyed it. And the friends that tried to play it quit because it was "boring".

Well I know others care about it, but in terms of real life friends. Nobody cares about Catherine (PS3) or Bayonetta. Both Bayonettas, the PS3 one and the upcoming WiiU one boo im the only one who likes these things. All my other friends are extremely into other Nintendo stuff. Fun but ok there's more to the world

I don't feel like either Super Paper Mario or Mario Sunshine are really hated. I feel like people skipped Sunshine out of ignorance thinking it's a "gimmick", once again people hardly understanding the word gimmick. I def never heard hate on Super Paper Mario. Stick Star a bit but not the other way :P

Another game that everybody else hates:
Super Mario Sunshine.
WHY IS THIS HATED?

i ADORE that game
i had it on gamecube and oh my goodness it was amazing i love it
you're not alone <3

i love runescape although i dont play it that often, it's just a wonderful game with so much to do, but people seem to look down on people who play that.. :( the new music for that game is absolutely beautiful though

SPM is super hated, it might be the people I've spoken to about it, but I brought it up once just the other day and basically got a humongous wall of text telling me I had horrible taste in games for even thinking about liking it. Mainly the complaints I've heard about it involve the slight art changes, almost useless 3-D gimmick, and the removal of the turn-based battle system.

Sunshine on the other hand I've seen mixed opinions on, most people seem to really have a problem with giving the characters dialogue, mainly Bowser. I never had a Gamecube, so I only got to play that one at my friend's house, but from what I played, I didn't think it was bad at all.

Yeah once again all of those to me are like "who cares" it was fun. I honestly felt like the cut back on the turn based stuff was so handy and sped up the game in a good way. Why does Mario need to slow down for every stupid Goomba with 1hp when he's got 500. The slight art changes didn't bother me either. I always liked the swapping of characters, instead of just Mario. Although I think the Pixles or whatever weren't as interesting as the previous Partners. I will admit I never see anyone say it's their favorite but I never see it get bashed either. I guess if I enjoyed it that's all that matters to me.

I sorta remember it being mixed on Sunshine that there was dialog, but I think it never felt wrong to me. The natural progression of it all was for them to start talking in text bubbles. They've had text bubbles before, they just made it more in depth. Aside from that I only remember people saying they didn't get the water gun FLUDD. Like what's not to get? You just do it. I don't know what the question/problem even is. People heard "you gotta clean an island up" and they picture Mario doing chores LOL. I suppose I'm just more accepting of what Nintendo is going to throw out there. Not that they've not had me bored before :p
Really I just feel like they've really not ruined a main series Mario game. Like ever. That's just imo anyway. There's obviously side games involving mario that are atrocious

YES loved all 3 still have the 2nd 1 ported over data from 1st 1 and have 3rd 1 also well never sell it.

i Might also add Advance Wars to that list. But much like Golden Sun it has a Cult following.

I agree, as long as it's fun, who cares. They seemed like really small things to me to get hung up over. Especially considering that the storyline was one of the darker ones that Mario games have ever delved into, and Count Bleck was a fantastic villain.

Mario doing chores, haha! I don't think I've ever honestly hated any Mario games they've released either, there are some that aren't up there on my favorites ever to play constantly, like Dream Team and Sticker Star were super disappointing for me, but only because there were elements that weren't as well applied in these as in others, just in my opinion.

On the Golden sun topic sence i dont get to talk about it much i like Alex as a Ninja.

Oh poo I liked Dream Team. That's another I don't know why people didn't like. Although at the start there was WAAAAAAY too much talking. Didn't hate Sticker Star's new format, although it def was lacking in comparison to it's console counterparts. We don't even need to talk about it's hits and misses LOL

lol i just felt the need to say that already TBT is nicer than ACC. People are pleasantly conversating with me but I go to ACC and if I have a different opinion I get my head chewed off

I think the beginning is really honestly my biggest gripe with it. The game itself is still good, but that lag was just so stifling, it slowed everything down. I guess I just prefer to jump right in. But I think I'm in the minority there, Dream Team seems to be very well enjoyed, save for the final boss.

I think Sticker Star is decent for a handheld, (I've got the Gooper Blooper song stuck in my head also) and it's alright as maybe an introduction to the Paper concept and series, but yeah.

Haha, oh boy, I've heard the horror stories about ACC. I actually joined this forum because of a friend, but I'm glad she picked this one, it seems a lot easier to converse with people.
