What are some games that make you feel like a kid again? For me, the three main ones are Super Mario World, Pok?mon Ruby, and Kirby's Adventure/Nightmare in Dreamland. Super Mario World was the first video game I ever played. My best friend introduced me to it when I was three when he still lived here. We'd play it for hours. I remember when I first got Pok?mon Ruby. I had yellow, but never really got into it (and eventually sold it ;_;). But I remember racking up over 200 hours on Ruby. Nightmare in Dreamland (as it shall always be known to me) was another one of those games that I played for hours on end. Both Ruby and NiD were games I would retreat to on vacations and such. Wind Waker was another one of those games. It's my second Legend of Zelda game, aside from Majora's Mask. I've played it more than any other zelda game. Sonic Adventure 2 Battle would be my second overall favorite game. It's one of those games that I've memorized every line. Then my favorite game, Luigi's Mansion. I've gotten that game down to an exact science. I can beat it in less than a day, at an A ranking. Ah the memories~

Super Mario World for sure is one. I beat that game so many times when I was a kid and kept playing it over and over. Plus it had multiplayer and that was awesome. The Mario party games on the 64. Pokemon Stadium. Banjo Kazooie. OoT and MM. There are a ton of games that I play that bring me back and make me feel like I'm a kid again. Especially the Pokemon games. I carried my gameboy with me everywhere, literally. I always had it and any time I wasn't doing anything I would be playing Pokemon.

Basically every game I had for the Gamecube. Mario Kart, Mario Super Sluggers, Melee and of course Animal Crossing. Brings back memories...

Ah yes. Did Animal Crossing relax anyone else? Like you escaped to some worry-free world? I think that's why I still love the series. Because no matter how bad things got, no matter what happene at school, I could always retreat to my town and just spend hours doing nothing.

Pokemon
Digimon
Mario Brothers
Donkey Kong
Harvest Moon
Yes those 5 titles were my childhood friends.
Now I still play Pokemon, Digimon, and Harvest moon series games but I added Animal Crossing to my list of games.
So I still have games I love and games I like.
I do not have many other games that I can say I loved so much that I feel like a kid when I play them.

Super Mario Sunshine <3
YES. I loved that game. I could just walk around town forever, forget about doing any levels. Another Gamecube game I wish I still had. (There's a long list...)

It totally did. Animal Crossing could entertain me for hours on end, there was always something to do. Although the graphics obviously were not the best, there was so much more in that game than in City Folk. You could ask to do favors, you could find NES games, everything was perfect on that game and I loved it. Makes me want to start back up.
Does anyone still play AC:GC?

Crystal version 8)

Spent at least 400 hours on that game. :)
Crystal, Sapphire, and Diamond I played way too much...Oh well.

ACWW was certainly great. Mario Kart Double Dash is a favorite. I feel the need to go play my good ol' GameCube games now.

I recently bought a gamecube for $20, so I decided to collect my old favourites.
I have Mario Party 7!, Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, Animal Crossing, Super Mario Sunshine, and a few others.
I also have never sold my copy of Fire Emblem 7... Honestly the best game ever and still actively play it.

I had no choice but to trade in games/systems to get the new ones.
I never have any spare cash.
-_- I hate being at the bottom of what America calls "the middle class". -_-
Just call it how it is...... no one but the rich can afford new games every month!

Animal Crossing GCN and Animal Crossing Wild World... Some of my best gaming memories come from playing online with people back in the day here on TBT! I hosted tree tag parties, made dirt hole castles with friends, played hide and seek in the museum, and everything with everyone here back in 2005. Those truly were the good times. You could just open your gates and people would come in without needing to post anywhere. The community was close together back then.

I'll always be amazed at how long you and some of the other original members have been on TBT, and you're still active. Hopefully AC:3DS will bring the forums together even more.

I'm amazed myself. :P Honestly there is so much nostalgia associated with this forum at this point that I just probably couldn't pull myself away even if I wanted to. Although to be fair I wasn't really around in 2009 and 2010. I just recently came back when we moved to vBulletin. I do hope that we can handle things better with the release of AC:3DS then we did with City Folk. We did a very poor job at keeping people around who joined for City Folk. Hopefully we can make people stick around longer so we don't fall into the slump we're in right now until AC:3DS releases.

Once Fly Out is released we should really try and hold events and get people serious about playing. I'm sure most people who get the game are going to set the date to the normal date, but as a tradition I always set my calender in AC to the first day of spring. I'm not sure when that will be in Fly Out, but I will personally hold events so people can get some spring items/fish/bugs early. Maybe stuff like that will get some newer people to hang around.
