Gamecube Wii Shop ?

No, since it plays GC games, it'll never be on the Wii, maybe the next gen Nintendo console, but definitely not on Wii.

What would the point of that be? The Wii can already play GameCube games. And even if they did add GameCube games to Virtual Console for the sake of convenience, you probably wouldn't be able to fit a GameCube game on the Wii's internal flash memory, and SD cards wouldn't hold that many, unless you have a 16 or 32 GB one. There's just no good reason for it.

This. I mean you can easily go buy the game from GameStop or whatevers. And if it's discontinued or such eBay is your friend.

:( I lost my gamecube + games in a flood about 4-5 years ago :/ was just wondering if in the near future [or at all] if I would be able to just purchase the games through wii shop, instead of searching and going on quests to find the good ol' games I used to own.

:) that's all

The 360 has had downloadable original Xbox games for years, and also has downloadable versions of some 360 titles. So, just because a console can play the previous generation's games doesn't mean that it can't have them as downloadable content.

Although the memory capabilities of the Wii are incredibly low without those SD cards, so that could pose a problem.

Never gonna happen, but I wish it would, since I can't find any good GCN games in stores.

The wii will never sell GC games on the shop channel because you can play GC games on the wii already...

Edit: Although it might be a good idea cause sometimes I wanna buy a gamecube game and cant get it because they are sold out and they don't get them anymore :(

Considering the fact that most Gamecube games range from 2-4 Gigabytes in size, it doesn't seem very likely at the current time.
