I figure, since there is a special place for all systems, why not one for the Gamecube (someone can make an N64 version if they wish).

Discuss the system and it's games.

For me, I think some of my favorite games are on the gamecube. The other thing I like about it is its animal crossing. The best one out of the (american) versions. The music was great, in fact, I could listen to it all day, and it just was so much fun. It wasn't filled with gimmics and other things trying to make people play it. It was a simple game that you could just relax and run around with. The characters gave you tasks to do very often, granted, it wasn't as customizable, but it was still great. Ah... the memories.

Luigi's Mansion and Four Swords Adventure were two other great ones, including Silver Drafon's favorites.

Some of my favorite games is from that console... Sadly I sold some of them and now I'm trying to get them back.

Gamecube has some of my favorite games of all time:

The Hobbit
SSBM
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
Animal Crossing
Super Mario Sunshine
Mario Superstar Baseball

The list could go on and on.

I feel like playing the original AC, but I seem to have lost it. D: .
I feel the same way,
I spent 2 years looking for my memory card that has ALL my GC data on it,
finally found it the other day...but the ironic thing is....within those 2 years.. i have seem to have lost 90% of my GC games...... so far I've found Super Mario: Sunshine and Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life

I honestly don't understand why people love the GameCube version of Animal Crossing so much more than Wild World and City Folk. I mean, I do prefer the GameCube music (though, that could just be the nostalgia talking), and it was nice how the GamCube version emphasized on talking to your villagers more, but other than that, what's so good about it? I find the acre system to be extremely obnoxious, and I much more prefer the open world in Wild World and City Folk. Plus, Wild World and City Folk have Wi-Fi, and even voice chat with Wii Speak in City Folk. Not to mention that City Folk has much more items, characters, and holidays than the GameCube version. But, of course, people have different preferences, so I'm not going to say that it's wrong to like the GameCube version best. (Though, if you like the GameCube version, you'll LOVE Dōbutsu no Mori e+.)

Also, @ the title, *GameCube.

I think people say that they like the GameCube version more because of nostalgia probably.

I like it just because it's more of a relaxing game. Who knows why, and yes, the music is way better. It differs from hour to hour, and etc. Unlike the newer music that sounds pretty much the same the whole time.

Yeah, my nostalgia goggles are possibly what's making me want to play this game again. Although I don't mind CF or WW, they seemed to get boring faster (which is strange considering the online features). I also do see lots of flaws with the GCN version as well (the acre system was pretty bland and redundant). I guess I got into it more since it was the first AC game I played, so it was all new to me.

Yea, could be this too. I'd love it if they mixed the GCN game with City Folk, it'd a the next best thing.

Best (traditional) controller ever, in my opinion.

I use that wireless controller all the time when I play GameCube games on my Wii or on the GameCube itself :D .

I use a regular controller most of the time. The wavebird is great, but nothing like the original controller. i.e. No rumble control on it.

Yeah, I was disappointed when there were no rumble features for it.
