Game won't save?

I've came to notice something very strange. Whenever I save and quit with my mayor, it never saves. Save and continue works, but other than that, I can't exit my character without manually closing ACNL and reopening it.

All other characters are completely normal, only my mayor is having issues.

Anyone have a clue on what's going on?

Man, I've never heard of that before. do you have a digital or physical cartridge?
As long as you can still save and continue, you should be ok, at least it's saved there.
