So what I really like about ACNL is the online community where you can trade with other players. That is literally the only reason why I play... When my wifi connection failed and I could no longer invite people into my town/go to other people?s towns, I stopped playing ACNL haha.

Another game that had a really good trading system and a dedicated forum for trading was Pet Society on Facebook. I was really sad when it shut down but it was a pleasant surprise when I discovered Bell Tree.

However, I?m afraid that as time passes, there will be less and less active players on Bell Tree. Especially with the potential new AC game on the Switch (which i do not have as it is terribly expensive :?( ) Does anybody know any other similar games?

Thanks a bunch for reading all the way until here. :D

Stardew Valley isn't multiplayer yet, but it is supposed to be soon! I love that game! It starngely reminds me of animal crossing hahaha, maybe keep a look out? I'm unsure how the multiplayer will work but I could only assume it'd be fun.

i don't have stardew valley, but i played my friend's once and it might seem like something you'd like, as pinkbunny said.

also, if you haven't already, but maybe you could try other animal crossing games as well, particularly wild world since you can play it on your 3DS. said friend that has stardew valley told me she actually prefers wild world over acnl, in some aspects.

If you like trading, you might wanna try out some browser-based games that have virtual economies where earning in-game money and then auctions, trading, buying and selling are a big part of the culture. Some games that come to mind are Neopets, Flight Rising, Furvilla, and Goatlings. (Out of these four, Furvilla is probably the best for trading because filling up your Menagerie is a pretty big deal, but all of the aforementioned games have an online virtual economy)

Don't starve together is a fun multiplayer platform game.
I've spent a lot of money in the marketplace as you can equip your character (really cheap).
If you like crafting/survival open-world teamwork co-op but not too top notch with the graphics then this game might be fun for you.
Also the graphics are visually nice as it differs from many art styles that are out there.
If you do plan on getting it, get it when it's on sale! You could probably get it for less than 10 dollars on Steam.
