I sat my 3DS down for a bit, and when I returned, my ACNL game had been removed from the 3DS. My save file was loaded, but I don't think it was saving or anything. My game was corrupted, forcing a restart. I can create a new town without any issues, but as soon as I step into the town hall, I get a message that says, "An error has occurred, forcing the software to close. The system will now restart." Is there a way to fix this without buying a new copy?

Yeah, they're fine.

First I'd check the ACNL cartridge has no dust particles in it or anything and try again. If not, it's probably damaged and you'll have to invest in a new one. :/

You could try updating the game from the main menu, just to check its not some odd glitch you've encountered.

I tried cleaning it, but it didn't help. I'll probably look into getting a new copy soon.

Sorry about your town man. If you need any help getting started, there's a ton of friendly folk on here who'd be willing to help. :)

What 3DS are you using? I've heard of some 3DSes (early versions, notably) having issues whenever the file loads...such as Leif's, certain items, etc.

Ohmigosh, I'm so sorry to hear that...

I can offer some bells and some certain furniture sets to help.

dude stop posting on threads if you have nothing useful to say

Anyways did you drop it or spill anything on it recently?

Nope. I always keep it in a case when I'm not playing.

I don't have another copy at the moment, but thank you very much!

You know, I'm using an XL now and several times it's popped up saying that "the game cartridge was removed" even though it wasn't; all I did was close the system for a few minutes. Always gives me a mini-heart attack because I'm terrified of it corrupting my data.

When/if you get a second copy, I'll be happy to donate. ^_^

it probably corrupted when it came out of the 3ds ): it happens sometimes. maybe try sending it to nintendo, if possible? otherwise, the only solution is probably buying a new one...

My cartridge used to do that in my XL but it stopped soon after. Now my XL is dead and so was my digital copy... Best of luck, let me know if you need any bells!

Dang ;v;
It seems to be a fault of some sort with the XLs? Be careful, if it happens again to another copy, try contacting nintendo or someone? If you need any help just hollaar ^w^
