Fruits you find on Island Tours

Sometime last year I decided that the only fruit that I wanted to have in my town was my native fruit (cherries). I also decided that I would plant one of each tree on my island - giving me a forever supply of fruit.

Sometime after I started doing that I stopped playing for ages and I've gotten back into ACNL with the new update. I've been doing a bunch of island tours - partly to grind for medals and finally get that badge from Phineas, but I've noticed that I don't see apples, oranges, pears or peaches come up as the fruit on any of the tours that I do.

Do the island tours not generate the common fruits? If so I have to rethink how to get my fruit trees on my island!

That's right, the trees on the island and during island tours/minigames are either regular trees or mango/durian trees. No pears, no peaches no oranges. There might be persimmons? But I'm not entirely sure.

So I'll have to crush your dream (so sorry), having all the fruits on the island is impossible as far as I know.
Unless you hack the game of course.

I'm sorry! There could be some kind of sneaky way to get fruits to the island like with flowers but I'm currently not aware of any methods. Would have to look that up.

No worries. It's not the end of the world if not but it would have been SO useful to be able to just have a tree of each fruit.

I think I've got the labyrinth tour today so I might try to pick up my missing fruit and see what happens like with the flower tours.

These are actually the kind of tricks people use for things like this, please let me know what happens! Very curious to see if it would work.

I wanted to do the same thing to my island but there's no way to get the fruit there. Kind of sad they won't let you bring anything via basket.
Would've been cute to have a little fruit orchard there. :>

Exactly!! There's got to be a way to do this without hacks....

Right, so I went on the easy tour, picked up a pear, apple and peach and just didn't complete the tour at all. At the end Tortimer said he'd be keeping his medals and I went back to my island. Opened my pockets and nothing there Looks like that's busted for now.

That's sad... Maybe completing the tour and keeping extra fruits in your pocket will do the job?

Hmm, I never tried to get regular fruits on the island. Maybe I'll check some of the tours later. Or we could join the island together and you could grab the fruit and I will pass the tour. That might help. My island is currently covered in pattern stumps, lychee berries, and pitfall seeds. lol

Tried that and Tortimer just tells you to empty your pockets of what he didn't ask for... Hmm.

I wonder if I have to go to the CT islands and see if I can get them from there....
